TTL, they don't understand you but I do...there there ol' chap. Have you considered taking your lady on a picnic? It's way cheaper and more romantic.

I laughed so hard at that. I find this thread comical more than anything else.

All these people getting sooo worked up over comments made by people they never have and never will meet... Priorities people. Who really cares?

Separately, if someone called my mother or fiancee a cunt in my presence, they would have a serious fight on their hands. I'm not a fighter anymore (those days died after my early 20's), but mess with my women and things will end badly for you. I'm sure any man on this board who loves their wife/mother/daughter/girlfriend feels similarly.

Everybody is on edge. Maybe it's my fault. I didnt mean for my post to sound prejudiced or whatever. I wasn't singling anybody out on here. People that know me know i'm multi-cultural and keep friends from all ethnicities.

2 houses down from us lives the nicest hispanic family you will ever meet. You know what doesn't make them typecasted?? The fact that they have jobs, dress normally, and their kids are very nice and everyone can speak english fine. One of the boys is getting ready to go away to college this fall.

When i made a comment about the hispanics; i was talking about the ones that dress like cowboys in cowboy attire, the women who have the painted eyebrows, and about 6 kids in tow. The ones who don't speak english and have no desire to, even though they live in the united states tax-free for the most part. Every spanish person is not like that, and I know that. Just like every african american person isn't a rapper or a gangster or anything else.

I'm white and I live in the country, but that doesn't mean i married my sister and am having sex with my horse or something....The point is people are taking things to extremes.

Even my spanish-speaking friends make fun of the other hispanics that give their race a bad name. And you know the ones i'm talking about, i don't need to describe it. Every race has that small group of people who gives their race a bad name. African American people have to deal with it probably the worst, but Trample is right. People are taking things way to sensitively.

We are all supposed to be friends here, and if the whole thread gets ruined because somebody took my comments made in jest WAAAY to seriously, then they need to get a life. I already said that I was sorry.
That could be a bad or good thing depending on what you sister looks like.

I'd be your friend if you'd just give me a chance, too.

Aw that's sweet.

I've been around here a while and I think most on here know that somewhere in this thread I crossed over from being genuinely a bit offended to my button-pushing mode.

The one comment was a little offensive but at some point it just becomes more fun to figure out what makes people angry and push their buttons. I'm kind of good at it, sorry bout that.

You're alright in my book. Let's just stay away from remarks that could potentially be construed as racist, and then you won't become a target for my tomfoolery.

Yup. That's when I pull out my mace to help me out. As far as the entourage goes, I'd kick Turtle and Drama's asses no problem.

Thank you Saden, you're not the dick I first thought you were either. Yes, that would be would be nice but we were in her town not mine.

I was thinking of a place called the Smokey Pig. It's overpriced and right down the street from my ole school in Ashland. No one eats there unless they've got money. The owner and patrons will not say anything if someone takes their child outside for discipline, or gives one a good old back hand to shut them up. The place is also full of cops.

After we eat we can go sit on campus. It's really beautiful.

I've only seen that happen 1 time where a whole entourage looked like it was ready to fight. Me and my battle buddy at the time were pulling guard duty in Crepastown, MD, and there was this huge rumble over in a sheetz parking lot. One of the guys from the 372nd was getting into it with some people from the bar that had followed them, and wouldn't you know it had to do with a girl.

Anyhow, the guy had a fold out baton, which evened the odds considerably.....

Re: F. . . Parents who let their children run wild

i went to the movies this weekend. discount movie theater, $4 adult tickets on a saturday night. all types of people there. old, young, couples, an old lesbian couple sitting next to us.

sadly, everyone was on their good behavior. for the first 20 minutes of the movie my girl was making constant muffling noises as she was trying to maneveur her way thru her purse with all the candy and stuff we brought. she kept it up for a good 20 minutes but the most we could conjuer from the crowd was one quick look from a patron who quickly turned away. the patron did make an ever so slight breathing sound which i interpreted as impatience with my girl taking so long to get her candy situated.

unfortunately, it wasnt enough of a reaction for me to take action.

so i had to sit and watch this whole twillight movie. i did notice 4 guys get up during the movie and never coming back. lucky bastards, they probably planned their excuse-exit strategy for weeks in advance. i had no warning, my girl put a sneak attack "ohh honey look, new moon is still playing! i didnt even know." . . yeah right.

I miss the military sometimes. It wasn't about what you looked like. It was about pulling your own weight and helping out the man next to you.

Yeah...somebody kicks your ass and then a split second later they are ready to help you out...

Anyhow that entourage slimmed considerably when the guy brought out the baton, and the thugs knew at that point they were going up against a trained fighter....
