LOL I'm actually taking a Friday night off!

...sometimes I start talking myself into believing we're on the track to awesomeness. The offense is surely going to fly. But Shanahan's track-record of defensive merry-go-round w/ his coordinators/scheme can't be shrugged off until he proves otherwise. Hopefully Haslett has figured some things out and can make his group a winner.

i have no prob with the DS making money off the skins, with our fan following and the structure that is the NFL, he would be the worst business man in the workd if he didnt.

Im happy he is putting the money back into the skins and their facilities. the HD stadium screen is a belated start. I heard our training facilities/weight rooms are some of the worst in the league (SS is that right?), so i would love to see upgrades to our facilities like that as well.

Agree 44. I travel from Charleston, SC 600 miles just to go to FedEx for the night then turn around and head straight home. I have done that twice in 08 and 07. I love the Redskins, and I don't see that changin anytime soon.

These signings of Joey Galloway and Bobby Wade could mean 1 of 2 things. #1, Shanahan saw what MK, SM, DT, n MM had to offer at the previous 3 day work out and wasn't impressed or #2 (which is the one i think is more likely) is shanahan is signing these two to have them take guys like DT, MK n MM under their wings during OTAs n training camp, give them some lil veteran tricks of the trade, and they'll both be cut b4 the season actually starts. Sorta like the giants did with Joe Horn that one OTA a few years back, except shanahan is gon get the most out of it lol, if not, he woulda just SIGNED Keenan McCardell instead of making him our WR coach lol its the same thing except these guys will be on the field. Unless Galloway or Wade, show sumthin that our current receivers dont possess, they are likely to be cut before the season starts

I think its competition oriented. I have no worries, I think if Mitchel and the young crew makes it to preseason they'll be able to show how they produce on the field.

People are speculating that when Sharper was on the NFL network and mentioned that the Skins were 1 safety vet away from play off contention he was refering to himself. Which means Sharper is somewhat interested in working under Shanahan. Although he's in a good situation with the Saints it's hard to repeat. So he either is lobbying thinking the Skins would throw the money at him, which hasn't happened with any of the vets, or he knows Shanahan is a good coach and would have a pretty good chance of getting to the SB over other teams. Maybe not this yr but soon enough for him.

Bulger going to the Cardinals for a career resurgence would be the ultimate irony. Of course Matt Leinart would start the season but Bulger would be the one to finish it.

I'd also like to see the Bills trade for Vick. It's well documented that I don't like Vick as a QB but for teams that need to grind to win football games Vick is an intriguing option. It would also be interesting as far as gauging how much of an impact Vick can bring to a team.
