Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown

Well, as far as the CB go. I do not like only keeping 4 CBs and 3 safeties. That is a dumb move if this is what we go with.

In the Nickle you have 5 of those guys on the field and dime you have 6. Not to mention a quarter or prevent.

That is way to thin if we have another injury before moore returns.

I think we're going to go with 4 safeties, Moore, Landry, Doughty, and Horton. I don't see Doughty or Horton getting cut. And it's not confirmed yet that we're going with 4 cornerbacks, but even so 4 cornerbacks and 4 safeties is not uncommon.

Per Chris Russell tweet: Don't know if anybody had this already, but rookie OT Selvish Capers was released as expected. Hopes to join PS if noone else. #Redskins

I agree we keep 4 safeties, but my problem is that one of those 4 is hurt for at least the first 2 weeks. So that leaves us with 3 to start the season. Which may be a problem. Horton and Doughty have both had injury issues in the past.

Maybe we are looking at picking up a CB off the waiver wire as well.

Westbrook and Barnes are not quality depth at all.

Considering that he's older and gets burned a lot, I agree we should have kept Tryon and cut Buchanon.

I think we should have kept both and cut Westbrook.

Buchanon made enough plays to earn a spot...what has Tryon done? Did he even play?

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown

had the pick in the endzone during the Arizona Cardinals game.

He was also one of the top 5 players ready to step up in 2010 per ESPN. not that it means much obviously. I guess ESPN saw more in Tryon than Haslett did.

Nothing on Rookie Safety Anderson Russell yet. Hmm wonder if he has a chance to make it.
