When it comes to RBs, I trust Shanny's judgement. See: T. Davis, C. Portis, O. Gary, etc in his systems

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7

Mike Shannahan knows more about what tailbacks fit his system than all of us combined. If he thinks Helu is a good fit then he is a good fit. He is not slow he ran a 4.4. And we dont need him to run for 87 yard touchdowns we need a guy that is consistent, fits the system, and can get you 4-5 yards. Plus he is a good compliment to Torrain, with Williams a capable third down back.

Our RB position is now set, which is a good thing. And we still have a good amount of picks left for other positions.

Funny thing is without durability concerns Torrain is a regular 1,200 - 1,500 yard rusher in this system. Still in todays NFL you need depth and assuming everyone comes ready to play the Torrain-Helu-Williams group should be a good one.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7

What im reading Helu:

positives: fast to the edge, cut and go between tackles, fast to the hole, overall decent speed

negatives: puts the ball on the ground and poor pass catcher out the backfield

In the fourth, not a bad pick. Shanny got a good history wit RBs

The cut and go is what Shanny likes, I guess. I can't get excited about this pick but I hope Helu does well with the Skins, of course.

Eagles outsmarted us. Turned the McNabb pick into even more picks.

We should trade McNabb to the Eagles for a second and a fourth.

Saw Helu play quite a bit at NEB. Solid player not a star RB so I'm a bit surprised

Not going to get too many stars in the 4th round. I too am a Thunder fan, bring on Memphis. Chiefs took Stanzi, bastards.
