Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins at Cowboys)

I have already had a Cowpuke fan rubbing it my face this morning. She was lucky I kept walking esp since I had not had my coffee yet. I find them to be a funny breed. When they win they shout it from the rooftops and punch their tickets to the Superbowl, but the minute they lose they are the first to blame the loss on something or someone else or pretend they are not a Boys fan. Personally I have always found them more obnoxious than the team itself.

Isn't that what some people live for? Far more entertaining for them to bitch and moan and overanalyze.

Our greatest strength is also our greatest weakness. Our devoted passion for the Skins makes days like this pretty rough but it will make the wins that much sweeter if they keep this thing headed in the right direction. HTTR. and i hate Dallas even more this morning and ill hate'em even more tomorrow.

I'm still wondering if I should have deleted all of my friends from facebook who were cowboys fans last night.

There is always that painful lost each year. Last year it was the Houston game, I could not shake that lost, this year it is looking like last nights game.

Thanks Kyle: They ran the ball twice out of 16 plays in the fourth quarter

Because thats what you do Kyle, you put the ball in Rex's on the road ahead. Brilliant.

This is it.
Dallas did everything they could to give us that game and we blew it. Good teams would have put a spear in their heart. Our Offense is obviously not as far along as I had hoped.....rebuilding is not for the faint of heart.....I might faint....sigh.
BUT WTF....our D is tough. A day or two to shake it off...down the road we go........HTTR

You know this is one thing that really bothers me. I know Grossman will never be a gifted athlete. But at least get your fat ass in shape. I have never been a Grossman fan, but I am quickly running out of patience for Grossman as our starter. The Cowboys near 300 pound DE chased down Grossman from behind with no problem.
For those that are saying we are 2-1 and not to worry. I am not worried because we were 6-10 last year, but we played a Giants team that was injury depleted and a Cowboys team that could not find a WR that knew the plays. They had a Safety playing CB and QB with a fractured rib. This loss was UGLY. It should have never been close to begin with.
I blame Grossman for this loss.
This bad placement on the field goal was a bad play, but we should have been ahead by two TD's at that point.
We were 6-10 last year, I say we put in Beck and see what have in him.
WE KNOW WHAT WE HAVE IN GROSSMAN. He is a backup.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins at Cowboys)

The Cowboys offense had the worst performance I've ever seen (or at least i can remember) out of a group of professionals. It was bad coaching. It was bad execution. Whoever is responsible for that debacle should be fired.

And we lost. Can't believe it.

Alan Ball isn't a safety. He never really was, Dallas gave him a shot at safety last year because they had nobody else to turn to. He really is a corner.

I hear you, but not too many QB's can out run a DE when the DE has momentum. The loss was ugly. Our team is not complete though. Grossman isn't our long term answer at qb. We should of won. We outplayed them, outcoached them, out executed them and lost. Grossman had a TD and a int. Romo had a Int no Td's and at least one fumble and he won.

This. If it was not Dallas(or Philly) last night I don't even think I'd be upset about it. I know we won't go 16-0...I just hate losing to that team.

The Ravens, The Steelers...lots of really good defenses have been getting torched this year. I know this sounds crazy, but I think we're overreacting to one game.
Look Deangelo Hall, It is a big game, it was a horrible play and we've should have won. It's pretty much the end of the world for me. Great, now you'r talking shit about the rams? We couldn't beat them the last time we played them...

QBs are normally slow players. 4.8 40 times are typical of them. Anthony Spencer ran a 4.7 at the combine.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins at Cowboys)

I was very disappointed that Banks couldn't give us better field position. On more than one occasion, he fielded kicks short of the goal line and barely returned to the 15. If he's not an X Factor in the return game, Banks is a waste of a roster spot. We certainly could have used Stallworth active when Armstrong went down early.
