Ironic that McNabb would say "let it go"

That's about all you needed to see.

It's unfortunate what has happened with McNabb. It's rare though for an athlete to end a career on strong note. But it's usually not so bitter as McNabb's situation.

Why does everything have to painted with a negative brush?
Why can't we admit some obvious truths.
McNabb was traded following a solid pro-bowl season.
McNabb benching in Philly doesn't make equate to a poor season.

Quote:
What got him treated that way was the fact that he didn't want to put in the additional work & study time to get better, didn't want to adjust to the offense, didn't want to accept coaching on his technique and footwork and was a locker room lawyer, trying to curry favor when the coaches started moving away from him.

If he didn't buck being coached and wasn't resistant to change, he would have been our 2011 starter.
Again, you can believe whatever you like.
Just because I choose not to believe hersey doesn't me that I think McNabb is without blame.
Clearly, McNabb deserves blame.
My point is the blame is also shared by Kyle and Mike.

It's not a negative brush, it's factual. True or false, in the 2 years prior to the trade, was he not benched and injured?

Nobody is saying Kyle and Mike are blameless. But two years later they aren't going on national tv whining about it like a fat girl jilted at the prom.

Yes, he was benched and was injured but his play those 2 years were not consistent with his play in Washington as you said.
Nor was his level play poor as you suggestion:

2008 16 games 3916-23 TDs-11 INTs-86.4 rating
2009 14 games 3553-22 TDs-10 INTs-92.9 rating Pro-bowl
trade

Clearly the level of vitriol leveled at McNabb is a sign that many fans feel that Kyle and Mike are blameless, not saying you feel that way.
I don't like what McNabb said either nor the timing.
It was cowardly and unfair to Griffin.
But that doesn't mean there wasn't some truth there.

As it is, I'm done talking about McNabb.
He's not worth anyones time.

Re: Was McNabb misused in Minnesota also?

There's a big difference between RG3 and McNabb. McNabb was a washed up veteran QB even before the Redskins traded for him. He did do well at times while in a Redskin uniform, but being a 12 year veteran and being a rookie are two different things. While McNabb was a set in his ways type of quarterback, RG3 is fresh from college and hasn't played an NFL down yet. He doesn't have the baggage that McNabb has. Mike Shanahan can mold RG3 and initiate him into the same west coast system that McNabb couldn't grasp. So, therefore, it's useless for him to speak about RG3 in that regard. As for him saying the Shanahans are egomaniacs, that may be true.

it has to be what it is, he has to be doing this to deliberately get attention. i have a feeling his agent told him and maybe he is starting to realize that his playing days are truely over. and he doesn't want to just disappear so he is trying to be another terrible "anaylist" on the nfln. all i know is he is just making himself look like an ass. i mean j reid even laid into him a bit in that article he wrote, and j reid was the one that had his back the entire time he was here. i always find it odd when a players like mcnabb or e smith or rice just can't live a happy life outside of the lime light, they'd rather just annoy everyone with their awful "insight"

Donovan McNabb says he’s the most criticized quarterback in NFL history | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

Another McNabb Pity party I see.............. This is actually the only Chris Chase article of yahoo I have ever seen and thought he actually did a decent job with. Most of his articles are trash....

Wouldn't you agree that McNabb has been unappreciated his entire career?

In Philly yes, but I think he has been over rated as a elite, top flight QB. Ive always thought of him as solid QB, nothing more.
