If someone comes calling for Kirk like the Jets and offers Darrell Revis and a 2nd. I think he accepts that deal. Stretch CB off our list. If we resign TJax and Brandon Merriweather comes back healthy then Safety isnt all that of an weakness we probably should still draft one though. Compton can showout with the time he is about to get and make Starting RT not a need no more. Even though we should keep Polumbus and draft a Tackle capable of playing both sides.

If those things happen before draft we can be looking at the draft with a strategy of drafting BPA.
I wouldn't expect a lot from free agency this offseason, the cap space they project to have right now is going to some of their own players.

Poyer was an all American by some media outlets this year and was a 4 year starter I believe. He is solid nothing flashy or amazing but good. Think of him kinda like a Corey Webster.

Trufant is probably the best CB you haven't heard of. Good CB the best defender on Washingtons defense. He went up against the likes of Robert woods, marquis Wilson, and other good WRs and faired very well. He wasn't thrown at that much this season. A few weeks ago he was a 3-5 rounder. Now he's a 2-3 rounder. Oh and his brother plays for the Seahawks, Marcus trufant.

----

So far Kyle Van Noy the do it all LB for BYU has been the most impressive bowl prospect, with only two others players doing good in all the bowl games ive seen. Those teo players are ziggy ansah the OLB/DE for BYU ( not as impressive as Van Noy) and Margus Hunt the DE for SMU ( shanahan probably knows a lot about him since he loves SMU players) played like JJ Watt tonight with 3 sacks a couple TFLs and a safety. Add that to his 4.6 speed and his 17 career blocked kicks. I watched his highlights which weren't impressive, but after seeing his game today I got to say he looks a lot better (he is very raw considering he's only been playing football for 4 years).

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

So I thought I'd update this thread.

Our win last night puts us in the playoffs which means come April the absolute lowest we would be picking is 21st, which in the second round would be 54th. (Obviously the further we go in the playoffs, the lower we pick)

Since we won't be playing for another 6 days, there will be plenty of college football bowl games to watch. Here are some guys to keep your eyes on while enjoying the games.

NC State Vandy

David Amerson CB NC State

USC GT

Robert Woods WR USC
Nickell Robey CB USC
TJ McDonald FS USC
Khaled Holmes C USC

LSU Clemson
Tharold Simon CB LSU
Eric Reid FS LSU
Kevin Minter ILB LSU
Brackvious Mingo OLB LSU
Sam Montgomery OLB LSU
Andre Ellington RB Clemson
DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemson
Dalton Freeman C Clemson

Also

Demontre Moore OLB for Texas A&M declared
Kyle Van Noy LB for BYU is staying in school
Jarvis Jenkins of Georgia supposedly has a spinal condition that could keep him out of the first round

And guys from previous bowl games that caught my eye

Connor Vernon WR Duke --looks like a young Stokley
Travis Kelce TE Cincy--his brother plays center for the eagles; He has his brothers size and Jason Witten speed.
Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin WRs WVU--unlikely we get Austin, but maybe we could get Bailey
Justin Pugh OT Syracuse--underrated blocker
Terrence Williams WR Baylor--RG3's favorite target at Baylor
Nick Florence QB Baylor -- RG3s backup at Baylor; Why not be a backup in Washington?
Logan Ryan CB Rutgers--very good CB
Khaseem Greene LB Rutgers--do it all LB, reminds me of Bowman, was Big East DPOY
Antone Exum CB VT--Tall rangy CB who can cover well and hit; could be a FS.
Kenny Vaccaro S Texas--FS or SS
Alex Okafor OLB Texas--he can get to the passer; had 4.5 sacks in alamo bowl.
Jordan Poyer CB Oregon St-- solid CB with good cover skills and return skills. Tough.
Jason Verrett CB TCU--All American CB who can cover, needs to get bigger.
Josh Boyce WR TCU--physical WR, plays like Hakeem Nicks

Home games don't look too tough, but those away games yeeeshh! At least there's Oakland.

No more last place schedules - a curse with which I am willing to live.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

Not even worried about that schedule. We will be a better team then this year. And its going to be a lot of motivation vs Broncos. Mike's old team and what Von Miller said about RG3.

Can we lock this thread until we are out of the playoffs? No need to discuss until then.

2013 NFL Draft order set - CBSSports.com

We picked a good year not to have a first round pick, probably one of the worst for skill players. The safety positions and DL(3-4 OLBs too) are really deep this year. Sneaky deep position is RB, there gonna be some solid ones coming out.

Sharrif Floyd, Matt Elam of Florida Gators to enter NFL draft - ESPN

Elam, and Floyd both declared for the draft.

Elam was an all american safety and played great at Florida. Hopefully he will drop to us in the second round (unlikely but possible).

Jordan Reed is indecisive about returning or staying, seems more likely to stay

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

Not a great year to have the number 1 pick, kinda like the pick the Wizards always get.
