Around the NFL Off season thread 1.0
Why is it Kirk’s fault if the Jets offer him stupid money? I still think he ends up in Denver or Minnesota but if NY does something crazy like a totally guaranteed deal who could blame him? Don’t lie you’d do it too

I agree KC will probably not end up in NY. He is already financially set for life and he is looking for a team that can be a Super Bowl contender. Wherever he goes he will be well paid.

Kirk Cousins sucks in New York. He ain't going there. He doesn't seem like a great fit for that market either.

SIAP
Jarvis Landry got the non-exclusive franchise tag. $16 million for a WR who averaged less than 10.0 per reception ??? more insanity https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ins/110650678/ |

He shouldn’t be allowed within 100 miles of the kid that he almost killed and left handicapped for life. Its one thing to say you are sorry to your kid for yelling at them a bit too loud but to apologize for having their mother killed and causing them severe disability throughout the course of their life is just ridiculous. Im all for second chances except when you try to kill someone. That sort of negates the rest of your existence together. |

It's not and I am one who believes it was never about the money with Kirk but more power to him.On the Jets side they are looking for their "ELI" someone who they know can be a great representative of the team and can play football. The Jets have had such a bad time with QB's they will try anything . I just don't know if this is good for the league?

Why is it not good for the league for a team to spend available cap space? The Jets could give Kirk $60M and still have $40M for other moves. |

Re: Around the NFL Off season thread 1.0
I think some of us kinda got a biased opinion on Baker because when here we was our only average DL. All others were below average. So we thought we was good.
Obviously he's not that good. Plus he seems to be a pain in the ass as a person...

But the whole point of prison is to rehab a person (and while I think most of the time the system fails), so if prison really did rehab him and his son/caretaker are ok with him trying to establish a relationship I don't have a problem with it. I'm sure they won't welcome him with open arms initially (as is their right) but stranger things have happened.

Also can we keep the Kirk discussion to one thread? It's hard to track when we're having the same discussion in two different threads.

That 60 million could buy a whole position group with multiple players. You are taking money from every other guy on the team. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |
