Yeesh. Absolutely nut balls to have a brand new starting QB and give him 3-4 DRIVES all preseason with the starters... Especially when they never established any rhythm at all ... If Cousins is still here, I'd still like him to get a little more work to get ready, but a brand new QB and basically two new starting WRs and this was all of the work they got together to get ready? Still trying to understand the logic.

And we will wonder why we get wrecked in our opening game again under Gruden?

It is beyond stupid at this point...

I think they have the potential to be a really good offense, but I'm worried about a slow start that we cannot afford with the toughness of our schedule.

Taylor and Settle have looked good .... Payne and Allen were driven back and we were absolutely gutted on runs right up the middle in the first quarter...

Just one game, but man... Leaves PLENTY to worry about.... I wouldn't say that the Broncos line is supposed to be as dominant as the Cowboys or Eagles... The Giants are supposed to have some guy that's a decent RB too...

AP comes in and 3 days later, he is best player.
Clearly he is a Professional that knows how to prepare.

I don't know what the F Gruden is doing with these other losers but it doesn't appear to be working.

And what the heck is going on with the offense? Holy cow they look awful... Truly terrible.... Wow.

Everyone says preseason game 3 is the most important/most telling.... This is telling us something alright... Tells me to expect more of the same this year, especially with this schedule we have 😒

Don't think they looked so bad. I'll have to watch it again but they're not on my long list of tonight's disappointments right now...

If we start 0-1 again to a very avg cards team that would really suck

If you go back and look at the multiple big runs they popped off, including the long TD run, they were all right through the middle of the line. The only tackle I saw Payne make was at the end of a 5 yard run on a stretch play, and Allen... Actually haven't seen him make even a single tackle/play tonight, or this preseason if I think about it.

Re: Broncos @ Skins GameDay Thread

Josh Doctson was not targeted in the Redskins' third preseason game.
Alex Smith only threw eight times as Washington tried to stretch out Adrian Peterson, so there were not many passes to go around. Doctson only caught one pass for 11 yards this preseason, but he has consistently been on the field with the Smith group.

Good to see the first rounder doing zilch

Re: Broncos @ Skins GameDay Thread

The good thing about the game as far as i have seen is no injuries.

I would like to see better, but we all know preseason, even the 3rd game, is no indicator of how the season will go. And Gruden definitely puts little stock in its usefulness. We can only wait till the AZ game, one we should win, to see if Gruden can change his opening day results.

Didn't make tackle but moved their guys pretty well, tackles missed by LBs and DBs was more of an issue IMO.
Both of them got some pressure too.

Exactly. But he didn't need to because he proved himself a quality NFL starter last year... 😂

I remember posting something 2-3 years ago about how everyone knows about our QB idraft ssues... but the Redskins have been the absolute worst team in the NFL at judging WRs in the draft for 25+ years.

Swing and missed on prettty much every single one. When Michael Westbrook and Rod Gardner are your best early round receivers since the 80's.... Yeesh.
