Logically I agree, but human ego is such that there's sometimes a desire to prove you can do more. Maybe he will stay in Alabama, you might be right. But humans don't always do what makes logical sense.

A shit ton of money, and the challenge of redeeming himself at the pro level.

I guess the eagles were also interested in Foster:

Saban is 67 years old, it would make no sense to leave Alabama for the NFL at that age.

Has a 75 million dollar package thru 2025 when he will be about 73. I dont think he cares about redemption. But who knows.

I heard Saban does want another crack at the NFL. He strikes me as the kind of guy that wants to prove he is the best anyplace anywhere.

I would take Saban in a heartbeat but I doubt he leaves Bama, he's the king there

While that's great...his friend Bill Belichick is still held in much higher regard in that coaching fraternity because its the professional level. I think Saban is aware of that and wouldn't dispute that fact.

Apples and oranges. Let Saban have the same players at Bama like a Tom Brady for a decade. He would never lose - he doesn’t anyway. Lol. You are coaching teenagers. You have to recruit. They have standards that must be met. Ask people in Alabama or down south for that matter if they give a fuck about the NFL. Nope. College is no cakewalk compared to the pros. He coached under BB in Cleveland so of course he would give him the respect but Bear Bryant is as much a legend as Vince Lombardi.

The interesting thing about Bellichek is that (except for Brady) he turns over players as fast as any college team. It would be interesting see Saban recruit at New Mexico St. Its the name Alabama that's the main draw. College is way easier than the pros. College teams play maybe 4 equal games each year. The rest are conference patsies or a lower division team on a money grab. The talent mis-matches are so big in college that coaching isn't as crucial as it is in the pros. That's why most college hot-shot coaches wash out in the pros.

Yet before Saban got there the name Alabama got them their last championship in 1992. Before that 1978. He is about to win 6 in 9 years. Before him they won 6 since 1964. You sure its the name?
Im not taking anything away from BB. Just not ready to say Saban should kiss his rings.

Before we get too carried away with victim blaming let's remember this guy is no boy scout. He's got an established history when it comes to domestic incidents, guns, failed drug tests, marijuana possession, and a league suspension.

im not victim blaming, but this same person came out with a statement saying," I made up the report to ruin his career"....and then later we have the same person with the same issue.

He isn't a good guy...for the character of the lady, she isn't a good person either which is very possible.

I personally don't like the move, but I find it funny with the outrage.

Man, the NFL and fans sure embrace Tyreke Hill. funny when that double standard shines through.

This is why I'm kind of ok w/ it for now. She made up the first report. She's a fucking low life. My question is why is he still hanging out w/ this trash a night before a road game? The weed and weapons charges, not a big deal to me really. RF is just a really dumb guy who can't be counted on, at least right now. Maybe he grows up and gets it together being around some of his former teammates. I think that's what the Redskins are banking on.
