Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
Lauvao complaint just isn't about him...its about mismanagement in general about LG position and then depth along the Oline a year after we got burned by the samething.
We need to be better at this...its the difference in being a good Oline to being a great one. |

Everytime I read the Thread title I think to myself "yes he should".

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
And each of them probably needs a QB in a draft that is unlikely to be loaded with them. And we'll have needs there, plus at every single position group except DL, K, and P. At the moment, it's hard to say that we're set anywhere other than these position groups -- disappointing when we thought we were set at TE, CB, S, OLB, RB, T, and ILB at the outset of this season.

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
Guys like Grier and Herbert will be there in the top 10 and there is no excuse to not draft one of those guys. Grier is the one I'd take based on film and all around talent, he plays in a QB friendly Offense but he can make all the throws and he can move around too.
Rumors have suggested that Carr is out of Oakland after this season but he's another Mid tier QB that would cost too much most likely.

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
If Alex retires and that saves us the $$ I would look at Carr, he's about as good as Kirk. Also we wouldn't have to draft a QB then. I don't think Smith retires tho

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
If Alex retires we still have a significant cap hit. It is not his salary that is the probłem it is the cost against the cap

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
Is there a Cousins thread? He seems to be talked about in almost every thread...lol. We should just start a thread for Current & Ex Redskins QB's... Alex, Colt Cousins, RG3, Campbell...

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
You guys all seem very knowledgeable about football , you throw stats around and you know all the players strengths and weaknesses.. what I don’t get is I dont know jack about football and yet as much as I wanted them to be good i knew they would fail ... I just don’t believe that the team has leaders .. they don’t seem to have a vision or a sence of destiny.. this team is stuck in mediocrity.. it really does seem we are cursed although I don’t believe in all that.. I just don’t see how this team will get over the hump in the next 2 years .. is there any light at end of tunnel...

Re: Should Gruden be fired ?
No, not yet. Allen should be gone though after this year. Let Doug Williams take over Allen's duties, and let Jay finish out his contract and then see where this team is at. I understand the ones who say you can't use the injuries as an excuse, next man up and all that, but I'm sorry, #1 WR gone for the year, #2 WR missed significant time, #1 RB gone for the year, #2 RB missed significant time, 3 Guards (including a probowler) gone for the year, and another now will miss several weeks, TW missing a couple games, and both he and Moses playing hurt, arguably the #1 CB hurt most of the year and now on IR, and last but not least, now we have Josh friggin Johnson one injury away from being the starting QB, now that both the starting and backup QBs broke their legs...and I'm sure I missed some...I mean if this team is completely non-competitive, flat, and just shows no desire over the next four weeks, maybe he's gotta go, but I don't see that happening. He'll be back next year, and hopefully we won't be signing Joes off the street to run his offense.
