Worse still if you consider Schweitzer is injured. Saddiq Charles or Wes Martin to start next week? Won't be pretty against the Eagles Georgia rookie

Re: Lions postgame

Here is the red zone defense efficiency (TDs only) this year.

https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/sta...ne-scoring-pct

Our D is sitting at 17th for the two weeks combined but 2/3rds of RZ trips by Lions resulted in touchdowns (which was 20th this week with 4 teams left to play). Misleading because we are dead last in RZ trips allowed:

For our offense RZ scoring efficiency we have batter 1.000

Kendall Fuller is giving up 21 YPC!! Holy shit

WJ3 Is giving up 15 YPC.

When your starting CBs are that bad you are fucked

I'd move Fuller to the slot and put St. Juste on the outside. WJ3 was rather solid as a Bengal. I think he's being used inappropriately by JDR and Rivera.

Re: Lions postgame

I sub to Mark Bullock's substack and he had an excellent post today breaking down a specific reason why our D struggled this week. WR bunch sets - we had a bunch of miscommunications throughout week 1 because St. Juste and co. weren't cleanly defining their responsibilities. They have options - everyone can go man to man or defenders can pass off a receiver to a specific area so they don't get jammed up in man to man. There were several plays last week where it was clear we weren't communicating well which led to receivers running free - Trevor Lawrence didn't exploit those opportunities though. Detroit picked up on it in film and tested it out this week and it was clear we hadn't fixed this week in practice so they exploited it all day. The A. St. Brown 49 yarder came from a bunches coverage exploit.

Anyways this is the long route of saying Ron doesn't think this is a big issue, or he does and he's not letting on. Either way they gotta get it fixed otherwise the Eagles will be exploiting it next week.

Yeah, lot of other players "liked" it too. Hardly in keeping with the new culture to call out a young guy when the entire defence is garbage and the veteran captains need to be accountable along with the coaching staff. He wasn't the worst player on the pitch, just the most inexperienced, but they new that when they drafted him a little over a year ago, all on them

JDR and Rivera went full stupid on that one. Don't blame Davis for being pissed.

JDR throwing anyone under any sort of vehicle is comical, fucking bum ass coach.

Should be but QB isn't our issue. Wentz has been good and Sam Howell is legit. WE NEED DBS
