Re: Eagles postgame
Some folks seem to have signed off of the team already -- understandable given the effort the last two weeks, I suppose. But if they can manage to show some life next week (a big if) and beat Dallas, 2-2 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, with a comeback win against the Jags (who are improved), a loss to Detroit (who is also significantly improved), and a thumping by a team that could one of the best in the NFC -- no shame in that. If, on the other hand as seems more likely given yesterday's debacle, they come out lifeless and limp, fall to a 21-0 deficient and then manage to scrape a few points in a 37-17 loss (which feels about right), they simply have to make some significant changes -- at least as to the leadership of what is shaping up to be D that looks to be last in the league. If they're blown out by Dallas and do nothing in response, the demand for change/exodus will be massive. Waiting for Robinson and Young to come back from injury simply won't cut it at this point (if that's their plan).

https://www.hogshaven.com/2022/9/26/...-his-own-sacks
I am ignoring the authors biased analysis but the data in and of itself is interesting. Going into yesterdays game Wentz was averaging 2.7 seconds in pocket third in league behind Trey Lance and Justin Fields. Yesterdays sacks: 1. 2.75 seconds 2. 3.15 seconds 3. 3.20 4. 3.76 5. 4.27 6. 2.93 7. 2.42 8. 3.70 9. 2.58 Some of that is obviously on Wentz. You can't hold the ball for that long, but Turner needs to readjust to get some quick pass plays in action. IMO the offense was most effective in the early part of the Jax game when they were using quick throws to Samuel and Gibson. They will probably need to get Terry in on the short routes more too. Samuel rarely extends beyond the sticks so his is limited in his ability to move the defense. Bring Terry in too and use it to open the downfield instead of having long developing plays.

Re: Eagles postgame
Agree. Turner needs to revisit the first quarter game plan of the Jax game. (That win is now looking pretty solid after their last two performances)

Re: Eagles postgame
Robinson and Young will definitely help a lot. Another change would be to let St. Juste start instead of Jackson who has no business being there. Get rid of Wildgoose and bring back Jimmy Moreland, he knows the D and would be an instant improvement in the CB’s. Also resign Flowers if he’s willing to come back.

Re: Eagles postgame
Erik Flowers must still be asking for a lot. Otherwise, it makes no sense that no team has picked him up yet.
He must've played it smart with his money and doesn't need to come back for "chump change".

Re: Eagles postgame
Nice. Not quite good scoring offense and not quite good defense either. Lookin' good for year 3 Ron!
