Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
the skins are just getting back at lavar for his actions during the off season and to keep him healthy so they can trade him this upcoming off season, he's going to cost a lot of money. his not playing has nothing to do with his ability or lack of ability to play in GW's defense.

I hope not. You'd think they could deal with that with a bit more tact.

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
just heard lavar on the john thompson show. he said that they arent giving him the practice time to prove himself. i love the way our team plays defense we make tackles and are good v.s. the run. and dont give up the deep ball. but one thing we dont do enough of is get sacks and cause t.o.'s . i will give GW not playing lavar on 1 and 2 down. put on passing downs not to have him in there to rush the qb is mind boogling. we are paying him alot of money to ride the bench and it is not like you can trade him away without taking a big cap hit.the way lavar talks it sounds like they are not telling him what there plan is for him let the man know..also why wasnt this brought up last year by GW about lavar not practicing good and making too many mistakes before he got hurt..he is a playmake on the field and a leader. yes sometimes he makes mistakes on the field...at least give him some oppurntunites to play and make plays let him more than a couple plays..give him three or four series and see how he does before we push another player out of town and take another cap hit..

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
There have been so many pro's and con's WOW!!!! When all the dust clears, I'm truly interested in seeing what the final LaVar outcome is going to be.
Eighteen months ago JG and GW were the sweetest thing since sugar, now with the benching of one overated player they no longer know what they're doing. I find this all very difficult to comprehend. I say overated because there are a lot of inflated opinions relative to LaVar. Before long we'll be ready to dismiss both JG and GW because we know more about the game and who should, and should not be playing. People, this coaching staff does not owe us any explanations "PERIOD" The only one they have to answer too is DS and if he's not complaining, the only thing we pay to do is watch. If you don't want to watch you don't have too. I certainly hope JG GW and the rest of the coaching staff does not read this stuff because they probably would be ready to leave town after witnessing such distrust. Mr. Dan Snyder!! You played Chess with LaVar on the plane ride, the Warden cannot play games with the inmates. (Just Kidding) However there is an old saying "If you play with a Puppy, he'll lick you in the face". I know JG has warned you about that. |

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
I agree with everyone who said that the coaching staff doen't owe us anything... well, except a competitive team that doesn't quit and more wins than losses
still, i heard lavar on radio a couple minutes ago and he said he had no idea why he wasn't playing, no one's told him why he's not playing, and he's not getting a chance to prove that he can play. Either he's saving face or there's a serious disconnect... Lots have claimed that GW said its practice performance (per his interview), end of discussion. If that's so, then why have GW and JG said that he'll be playing more EVERY single time they're asked, only to leave him on the bench. Why does he go on the radio an talk about the lack of communication and how he's participating as much as anyone in the meetings and doing whatever is asked, but still being left in the dark about whats expected of him. It IS confusing because lavar's interviews are a lot different from the GW/JG ones, and while you'd think lavar is just saving face, he's the one saying he's not sure if he'll play while JG/GW are saying he will (and then he sits on the bench). I personally don't care if he plays our not. I think he'd help the team, but the D was fine without him, and while its let down this year, our corners (and possibly pierce) have more to do with that than lavar. |

i don't believe anyone said gibbs and williams don't know what they're doing. what was said is we don't believe that the truth is being told about the reasons for lavar not playing

Here's the issue at hand: Is there more to it than what we are being told? Yes, I've seen all the Gregg Williams, Joe Gibbs, and LaVar interviews. (And no, they don't owe us any explanation either) - but it has to be more than he doesn't know the system or he doesn't practice well. That won't fly either. |

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
i say they DO owe us, the fans, an explanation. we buy the jerseys and the tickets and all the other skins stuff. we go to the games ,we watch on tv , we hoot and haller. the least they can do is tell us the truth.

Secondly, if you think the coaching staff does not owe us the truth, and they only have to answer to Snyder, you know nothing about business. The NFL is a 100% consumer based business. Does, Daniel Snyder buy 90,000+ tickets for seats at FedEx field on Sundays? Does he buy all the products that advertisers are selling during game commercials? No, we the fans do. This is further proven by the fact that there are roughly 10,000 shows about the Redskins on in any given week during the season in the Washington area. Snyder is the owner, and ultimately who the coaches have to answer to, but if we, the consumers are pissed off, he loses money. Saying that they don't owe us anything is like saying Microsoft doesn't owe you any updates or tech support when they sell you a crappy product. |

You can continue thinking the coaching staff owes you something if you'd like, but I'm afraid you're barking up the wrong tree. Comparing Microsoft to football is like comparing apples and anything else irrelevant.
