Re: We must draft better...
I must say, as in this subject of Salary Cap (I am always amused), who are the SO-CALLED experts depicting doom, dark times, pestilence, etc. for the Skins? Are they media types? Are they bean counters earning a bean counter wage? Or are they self-made BILLIONAIRE's (with a BBBBB) Billionaire?????
One of the things I have total confidence in Danny is his business acumen. That's right, how to make and keep (a shit load) money. Take a look at his financial track record. With all the unnecessary money we have spent in crazy player transactions over the years, it appears he knows how to forstall the "ever-looming" DOOM. If I am givin' the choice of believing in Billionaire Danny, or thousandaire media dork????????? you figure it out

Thanks Matt, please let us all rejoice in the sunshine of our love, Gibbs that is....most important thing is g-STRINGS lose today and hopefully Tampa Bay. Then we all will really have to see our cardiologists. Like me and Cummins figured out, 10-6 to the 3, do the math....JG never had more fun than to be in this position. Win out and the only column need any looking at is week 18! Originally a Boston Brave! |

Re: We must draft better...
This should help us out if it is true...
"A league source said this week that it is a virtual certainty that the salary cap will jump from $85.5 million to $95 million next year." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...yhoo&type=lgns

Re: We must draft better...
I'm not afraid of cap-hell.
The thread started with a Draft-question. We address our draft starting with Free Agency first! Draft second. The question breaks down better this way: Are championship teams best made via the Draft or via FA? I think all here would agree with #56 that we need to draft more. But let's not take away anything from the contributions of the FAs, please. So let's all agree on that. I believe the age, the productivity, and heart of the player becomes more important than the cap hit in the eyes of the FO. On the Cap-Hell, I know enough that I don't want to be bored in getting caught up in the figures. I prefer to think about the gynts, and POs, the SB, and such. It may be a billionares game, but it actually plays out on a FB field.
