Re: Week 3: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday thread
Off topic but is anyone watching Brandon Marshall sodomize the Jets?

does anyone know why CP was basically benched for a practice squad player? he seemed to be running well and then disappeared.

Becasue he turns into a physics doll when he passes the LOS. If I was another team I would not game plan the run at all. CP is going to fall down regardless of contact.

Torain looked sharper in his cuts and had a little more burst.

![]() Wrist injury. CP was running GREAT. He wasn't demoted, he was injured. Sorry, just tired of hearing this...I've even seen articles ridiculously saying he completely lost his job.

Just heard CP address this like 10 minutes ago. He didn't say for certain why he got pulled from the game. Yes, his wrist was bothering him but neither him nor Shanny said that was the reason he got pullled from the game. He also addressed him falling down on the 27 yd run. He said he fell on purpose. |

Yeah, that's what he said. I was stunned. Then like three minutes later he was saying how his toughness and willingness to play injured is and has never been in issue during his 9 year NFL career. Very interesting interview. I would expect to see a healthy dose of Ryan Torrain vs. Philly. |

Re: Week 3: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday thread
I am pissed at a lot of things after this game.
1. The play of the team on all three fronts. Offense, defense, and teams. Offense could not convert a 3rd down to save their lives. The defense, as others have mentioned, blitzed nonstop on third down and left man coverage that was exploited time and time again but Hester and no name WR's. And yes Gano is not the normal punter, even though he did punt at FSU, but we can't even block up front and our kick returns were terrible. 2. The readers on here make me mad. Almost everyone on this site is more wishy washy than a 16 year old girl trying to pick out a dress for the prom. Or a pregnant woman trying to decide whether to eat pickles and peanut butter or anchovy ice cream. Everyone was pumped after the Dallas win, for obvious reasons. Everyone thought it was bad the team lost to the Texans, but showed a good offensive scheme and just let one slip away. Now we lose to the Rams, who always play us hard and match up well against us for some reason, and everyone is ready to fire all the coaches and cut 2/3 of the team. Calm the eff down. Rome was not built in a day. If you came into this season thinking we were going to crush people out of the gates for the whole season you need to find a new sport to watch. Expectations people. Are we improved from last year? I think so. Are we worse in some areas? Most definitely. Are we going to win it all this year or even make the playoffs? Up for debate. The point is keep an even keel. There are going to be good wins (Week 1), and bad losses (Week 3). We have a legit front office and a legit coach. Let them work. These things take time.
