He may have time to throw on some plays but in the 1qtr Tampa Bay only rushed 4 and he had no time. Did you see that the Redskins WR were not getting any seperation on their routes. He had no where to throw the ball because the Bucs were blanketing our WR.

Things will come together on offense in time, but the defense needs to carry the day and we'll probably have to win ugly for awhile. It's not going to be a 35-7 win next week. 20-17 might be the best we can hope for.

If I'm right, this will be a good team in December. Possibly a very good team. But being an unfinished product is not an excuse for complete unit breakdowns. The offense needs to be sharper than it was today, even if it can't put it altogether just yet.
After watching this same group of guys for several years, do you honestly think we're going to be a good offense by the end of the year? I don't mean yardage wise, I mean an offense that can consistently put up 20+ points. I've seen nothing from this group that tells me they're capable of doing that.

Maybe we need to see more of Mitchell and Mason. I mean the Saints are led by a 7th round receiver and undrafted running back (and Brees of course)

I agree with Mitchell. Enough of Thomas and Kelly. I'd like to see Aldridge on the field.

Truer words have never been spoken on the Warpath.

I'm enjoying the win. JC did not look right all day (shoulder issue maybe?) but he came through in the clutch to win it for us. The D really stepped up in the second half. I am happy with 2-2 with the struggles we've had.

TB's D really showed up today, they have some incredible young talent...Gaines Adams, Aqib Talib, Barrett Ruud, Geno Hayes. They are better than most gave them credit for coming into the game.

Let's hope for 5 INTs by Delhomme next week. Of course, Rogers will drop 3 of them.

Satisfying to see Dallas lose too. I am shocked by Denver, I had them penciled in for about 5 wins for the whole year, and they're 4-0 now!

At least Zorn isn't getting himself arrested and potentially suspended by the league like some other team's coach right now. He's learning, he'll be better than in the past few games...he can't get worse. Playoffs, here we come.

Side note - I loved how it seemed the upright had a microphone on it when Nugent's FG try hit it...BWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!

I think the DBs coach needs to put some glue in Los' hand. Dude's gotta be up there in dropped INTs! LOL.

sadly, I am back to being pessimistic about our WRs. Preseason I was finally getting off of the Kick Hixon Out club, but I just renewed my membership for the rest of the season. You can try to tell me it's all the receivers fault, after all they are the ones who have to go out and prove it. But Kelly, Mitchell, even DT showed promise, they have potential, but no one is training them up. I wonder what it would take to get Hixon gone. He is the cockroach coach of Redskin Park.

Unfortunately, if Moss keeps catching 50 yd bombs, nothing will be done.

we're not inside redskin park so we don't know if hixon is doing a good job or not. all i know is these guys can't get open. thomas may be fast but it seems like he only has straight line speed and isn't fast coming out of breaks or doesn't run his routes very well. kelly is just flat out slow so if i were zorn i would never run him on anything deep.

What I liked is that it looked like durn 1/2 time we made some adjustments and got our WR's open in the 2nd half.

A quick review of the game tells me Devin Thomas is getting open more often than we're giving him credit for. Would like to see more passes go his way, but that means Campbell has to check off a lot of other receivers it seems and there's just no time for him to do that

Re: Week 4: Redskins vs. Buccaneers Gameday Thread

When it comes to the WRs let's be honest, our best options remain Moss on the outside and Cooley underneath. I feel that Kelly is close to breaking out. JC is trying to get the ball to him even when he's covered and giving him the chance to make a play. We should be happy we're seeing that.
