It's the team comparisons that I think are a little pointless. The Colts are obviously much better off talent wise than most of us gave them credit for. They also haven't been hit by the injury bug as hard as we have. Pagano's illness is undoubtedly giving them extra inspiration and motivation as well. That element can't be underestimated. |

And of course aren't you one who said that you don't listen to what the media says? So why would you be using that now to justify your argument? |

Of course they're not right all the time. They're not wrong all the time either. Games aren't played on paper as we know. They're played by little men inside our TV sets. |

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
No, its not surprising. What is surprising is that at the beginning of the year, 99.9% of people felt the team that Shanahan had built around RG3 for the past 2 years was superior to the talent Luck had in Indy. Now that has been proven false. Wonder how much of it actually has to do with arranging talent, than to actual coaching of your players, control, discipline and management during the games. Just really stinks we are still in neutral, even though the NFCE is ripe for the taking right now, or at least ripe for the not being in the damn cellar for the umpeenth straight year.

I'm with Matty, can we not compare every situation out there to ours since each one is different? I'm kinda looking forward to this Sunday just putting it on the Red Zone channel and enjoying an afternoon of stress free football.

It's not just injuries. It's a mix of all. Injuries, shitty talent, poor coaching, capgate.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
Helu is done. Orakpo is done. Carriker is done. Fred Davis is done. Garcon's injury won't heal up quick enough for him to play anytime soon. Then there's the secondary problem. D. Hall, Josh Morgan, Madieu Williams, and Reed Doughty are all second string talent. Where Carriker has been replaced, Jarvis Jenkins doesn't resemble the player who crashed the entire offensive lines in the 2011 preseason. He's just a body on the defensive line taking up space.
Evan Royster showed flashes of greatness last season, but his 6.0 yard per carry average has decreased to 3.8 yards a run. Maybe he just needs more touches. Josh Morgan is okay, but given his contract, I expected more of him so I'll suggest he's under performing. Leonard Hankerson has been so-so. I can't overlook dropped TD passes in the end zone. Santana Moss has been Santana Moss. Logan Paulsen has surprised. He reminds me a little of Don Warren. |
