WASUP SKINS FANS.......First I would like to thank you all for allowing me to join your site. Now on L. Landry everything Ive read about him has been positive speed. tackling & attitude but we need D-line help bad. Ive been following the available free agents and there are still a few decent Dt out there who could help strengthen our line and the front office seems to be attempting to show restraint and hopfully this will continue into the season. HAIL TO TH REDSKINS...............

welcome zo, and beems, i love the analogy. our secondary had better be the best tacklers of all time. because if we don't fix our defensive line, there will be plenty of down field tackles available

That does make a lot of sense as well. I'd much rather have someone get stopped for a short gain, rather than have the most SURE TACKLING secondary ever after the RB has already gotten four or five yards.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what happens if ST goes down? More reason to like the LL pick even though there's no way we'll do it.

So we should draft this guy in case Sean Taylor gets hurt?

Re: Should the Redskins consider LSU Safety Laron Landry with the 6th overall pick
All I am saying is that should Taylor go down our starting safties would look something like PP (if he's recovered) and Omar or Fox.
We should actually draft LL because he'd most likely be the best football player available at six, and because it would be good to see him play with Sean. If we don't upgrade the saftey spot it leaves us with suprisingly little depth at that position. Image if Moss goes down. We'd be starting BL and ARE. Imagine if Griff goes down. Imagine if Samuels goes down. It's not as if saftey is the only position on the team where one player going down could have a dramatic impact on the caliber of the entire unit. That's what happens when your team has no depth. If we're picking at six, LL is the pick. If we trade down we can address the depth issues we have across the board. With that said, please trade down and get at least fair value, or grow some balls and pick the best defensive player in the draft regardless of postion. |

Do nothing and HOPE they stay healthy and we'll be worse against the run. Then LL can show us what a great tackler he is in the secondary. |

Re: Should the Redskins consider LSU Safety Laron Landry with the 6th overall pick
I agree. Branch or Okeye is looking to be our best option. There is a lot of talk about Anderson but, I LOVE OKEYE. It's been stated but he's 19 and he cant only get better. No LL.
Take Branch. Or. Take Okeye. Please. For my sake Danny-boy.

drop 2-8 spots and take okoye, carriker, or adams (if convinced he'll hit the weight room).
