I think the plan is for everyone ( JC, and the 3 young guys) to improve.

I say keep Kendall. Hell they should re-sign Kendall and put him at center and get rid of Rabach.

We would upgrade our line a ton doing that, but Kendall really doesn't like playing Center, and since he's not contractually obligated to play here next year, I wouldn't want to get on his bad side.

Of course, seeing as it might be the difference between him starting and backing up somewhere next year, that might be plausible by May/June.

Some clarification on the Kendall over Rabach theme would be much appreciated GTripp. I think Rabach's biggest downfall is his smallish size and lack of power to handle bigger, strong NTs and DTs. Aside from his stupid mental errors last year he's been a fairly smart player. Kendall is even smaller than Rabach and arguably less mobile... is he really a better fit at center? Just to throw another wrench in there do you think Jansen would be an upgrade over Rabach? Jansen vs Rabach @ center?

I don't put a lot of stock into OL size, like, I don't even look at player's weights before I recommend drafting one over another (my process on defensive players is different). Rabach is bad for a plethora of reasons ranging from poor football smarts to communication skills to being dominated by very average talent.

Kendall has been a better guard than a center in his career, and I still think the best solution at center is a relatively high draft pick, 1st or 3rd round. But if Pete would play the position for us, there's really no reason to have Rabach on the team. He's not much of a backup center either.

Going off ESPN's scouting page Rabach is a bit undersized at center... lists @ 288 though I believe I've seen him listed at a lighter weight. I have a hard time not believing his relative lack of mass has nothing to do w/ the way he gets thrown around at center. Can't help either that @ 6-4 he's not quite as "squat" as many of the other guys listed high in the scouting.

... i really doubt Rabach is going anywhere so my hope is playing next to Dock and a resurgent RT helps Casey suck less this year. Obviously he's got to fix the mental errors freakin yesterday.

Re: Redskins may sign Daniels and Wynn?

Daniels went to Georgia which is good enough for me. Seriuosly, the guy is huge and he is solid against the run and he can move inside on pass rushing downs to spell the bigs. Plus, he should be hungry coming off the dissapointment of last year. SHOULD. You never know if these guys take a year off and find out football wasn't really that big of a deal.

Wynn, yeah who cares.

If Kendall doesn't mind backing up, he's okay with me. I can't imagine that somebody wouldn't be willling to pay him slightly more than we would though. To me Kendall is a little better than people ever gave him credit for. Really good on zone plays. In terms of him at center, didn't he part ways with the Jets because they wanted him to play center? Or was it money? I just remember it reminded me of those Matthau/Lemon movies where they pull shenanigans on each other. Mangini actually stuck Kendall in the rookie dorm at one point.
