Re: Somebody please try to convince me that the FO has a plan.
No plan. Just aimlessly browsing FA. Until they can pick BAP in the draft and claim they did well in the draft only to look horrible in preseason then win half their games and miss the playoffs at which time they will find any excuse in the book to blame for the losses.
Oh, sorry, I had a glass half empty moment. |

Re: Somebody please try to convince me that the FO has a plan.
Clay Mathews @ 13. I don't, I would rather we trade down, if Rey is gone, trading down for Alex Mack or Eben Britton makes more sense and value for me than taking Clay Mathews @ 13. He doesn't impress me like Maualuga, Orkapo, Everette etc... If it was @ a lower pick in the 24th-32nd, then I would consider Clay Mathews. Anyway, thats JMO, I'm no expert draft person.

Re: Somebody please try to convince me that the FO has a plan.
Where's this coming from that our FO isn't interested in Rey? First off I've heard they like all the USC LB corp. Secondly, they'd have to go full retard to not like what Rey has to offer. I want an explanation

I don't really remember you saying anything but hey...I was just surfing the net and saw an article that was recently posted and I read it about how the dolphins and us are going to bring in mathews and work him out...now can you show me a list of all the prospects we have interviewed or plan to interview, please.

Re: Somebody please try to convince me that the FO has a plan.
I've heard that we feel that Rey is a 2 down player, and MLB would be his only position we could play him at, and that we are high on blades as our MLB of the future..hey I want him, it's just that it sounds like they have a bigger need at OT and DE than MLB

Smith, Chung, Nic Harris, Maualuga, Cushing, Matthews, Cody Brown, Rashad Jennings, Mike Newkirk, Eric Wood, Eben Britton, Jeff Allen? (I'm drawing a blank on his name right now, the DB from Maryland). That's off the top of my head, there's probably (certainly) more

Re: Somebody please try to convince me that the FO has a plan.
Many people are saying that Clay Mathews and Alex Mack are reaches at 13.
Those draft guys always get surprised anyway. Both of these guys have a heavy upside. Mack is smart and can control the LOS and doesn't get beat by good nose tackles. I've a picture of Clay Mathes SR when he played for the Browns. If Clay JR turns out like his daddy then look out. I guarantee you he can put on another 20 lbs of mass and muscle. He's don't it already and he's not finished. Believe that! Google Clay SR. The man was build like a brick s**t house. |
