I think Philly wins but the more I think about it the more I think we'll keep it close. Philly just lost to Oak. so it's not like they're unbeatable. They'll probably win but I don't think it will be a blowout.

The good news is that I don't feel completely hopeless about our offense like I did in the last few games of last year. Last year, we were not scoring points AND Campbell was playing well. According to multiple sources, the offense was leaving TDs on the table on deep post patterns where Campbell was getting drilled just before the release.

This year, Campbell's been part of the problem. Which, IMO, is good. Because if he can trust the line, start digging out of that hole tonight, we can get back to where our offense was in the middle of last year. And with our current DL, that can win games.

I'm not saying anything will get better on offense, as this could just be the depressing ending to the Cerrato/Zorn/Campbell era. I'm just saying that there's a chance our OL could get back to playing well, even without Chris Samuels, and that the effects might be visible throughout the offense.

/end optimism.

I always watch thinking we can will and have a good chance to win. Not sure how I could enjoy watching if I never gave my team a chance to win. Some people here say I have on blinders but I can see whats going on with the team but I can also see we have enough talent to bet any team on any given week. The only game I can remember turning on thinking we had very little chance of winning was the Pats game a few years ago when they won 50 something to nothing.

As long as our Defense plays well , we have a shot . We beat Philly twice last year . Maybe tonight we get some turnovers and a blocked punt ... hell Oakland beat them , and I say we kick the cowturds ass , nothing like putting a hurting on your bitter rival .

I'm down at the locker room now. Each D player will be issued a "shank" and a claw-hammer.
AH gets a BLT, and a napkin as well.....

we will lose by at least 10, and promptly get lambasted in the national spotlight.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

Thing is if Philly beat the Raiders, I could see us winning, but since they got embarrassed and lost some credibility(Were ranked #1 in some power rankings) they might just get pissed and open up a can of whoop ass on us. I don't think it will be a blowout, but having Sherm Lewis call plays isn't going to erase the fact that the playbook itself sucks and we have underacheivers as wideouts. Not to mention a totally depleted O line.

Wow! 20 points? A couple of field goals, a kickoff return and a fumble return, right?

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

The best analogy or history of my point above is when Limbaugh called out McNabb a couple seasons ago saying he was overrated, etc, etc. That lit a fire under Donovan's butt and he played great ball the rest of the way, when in fact before the infamous comment he was playing poorly. Donovan didn't play so bad against the Raiders, but he sure didn't get the job done.
