Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line
I hope Edwin does well and he also is a real Redskin growing up as a fan. Whats not to like about him? He hield his own against the cowboys. The Eagles present a different problem becuase they blitz the heck out of teams.

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line
It's always the weirdos that can't give up their argument, whine a lot, and post old ass pictures in response to people. From running message boards for about a decade I have come to realize this. Not to be shallow, but when you see their pictures it all makes sense.

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line
Non Redskins avatar + screwing up threads should equal a ban...but sadly since there are so many Dallas fans still here, I know it won't happen.
Back to the topic... Since Rabach obviously can't be benched no matter how badly he screws up , it's good to get Edwin Williams onto the field at guard to prep him for his (hopefully) eventual takeover of the Center position in 2010.

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line
Why not
After watching Jones for three straight weeks now, I don't think he's horrible but I'm not sure how much upside he has, if any at all. It seems when the pocket collapes, he has a hard time adjusting. I still favor the Skins drafting a left tackle. I don't think Jones is the answer. Edwin Williams has been steady if not great. With more playing time and another training camp under his belt, maybe he can push Casey Rabach for the starting spot next year. He might be the sleeper out of the entire bunch. Stephon Heyer is what he is. He went undrafted for a reason. He's definitely NFL material and has proven to be an adequate stop gap measure, but he's not a consistent starter week in and week out. Not the answer at right tackle. |

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line
Too many false starts today.. too many holds..
Jones got blown up by Cole and we're lucky the Eagles didn't get 6 sacks against us like the last time that we played them. Edwin Williams looked pretty decent, I'll take that production out of an UDFA rookie. |

I think Ed's a keeper. Let's see what he has against GWilliams next week. They're going to throw the sink and the bathtub at Jason Campbell.

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line
Williams isn't a bad pick up but lets be real. Is this guy going to be able to be a 16 game starter? Probably not. I think he may be a nice back up but that's it. We're still going to need a LT, RG and RT.
