I thought he was living in NYC(i think) but you are right they practice in FlorhemPark NJ very close to Livingston, Madison and Morristown NJ,he needs to hit the Lincon Tunnel and then take the NJTP to RT #78 west.

Good opportunity to ask you something (Matty as well). If you're from New York how do you decide which football team to root for? Is it usually as simple as who's doing better when you start watching football or is there some sort of territory thing? My friend thought it was something along the lines of people from Jersey rooting for the Jets and people from New York rooting for the Giants. Better yet why are you a Giants fan instead of a Jets fan?

Baseball seems a little simpler since the Yanks and Mets have different stadiums located in different parts of the city.

With me anyway I was born a Blue blood (get it...)my dad raised us Giants Fans it's all we knew.My Dad has had seats for the Giants since 1949 and the Polo grounds in Brooklyn ,generaly most Giants are like myself long time family of fans 2nd and third generation of fans where as a jet fan ...when they first came into the league were fair weather fans and couldn't get to see a Giant game so they jumed on board the Jet fan base.The jet fan base is alot younger then the Giants or at least it was until this new stadium,people like my family were forced out by PSL's....less real fans and more corperate people, hope that helps.

Yeah Matty the Giants stadium is right off the Jersey Turnpike. There are only like 22 exits off the turnpike in Jersey.

If you are starting a new job, would you not find out exactly where your office was before you head in?

Even if you didn't and were late the first time, would you not get your bearings by the second time you went in?

Giants have always been the main draw, the Jets have always been the kid brother. Sort of like the Yankees/Mets. I don't think you can draw any hard conclusions as far as geographic areas. You find Giants/Jets fans everywhere around the city and Long Island. Upstate is still mostly Giants, Jets 2nd, some Bills, some Patriots.

Good episode last night. I wish they would have given a little more detail regarding what made the Revis deal turn around suddenly, because they made it look like it was a dead deal when Ryan stormed out of the room all ticked off.

Rex Ryan is such a jumbo douchebag. All that mouth, all that talk. WTF did the Jets do? Barely win 9 games and eek into the playoffs because the Colts started 2nd stringers in the last game? For as much hype as that blowhard has brought onto his own team, coupled with the NY media, man oh man if they fail it's gonna be epic. I wish them nothing but the worst. I can't remember the last time I've disliked a coach this much.

See, that is exactly why I like him. He's brash, loud, cocky, and foul-mouthed. In short, he's a character, and the league needs more guys like him. The NFL has gotten so corporate, and so sterile with the likes of Bill Belichek and the Payton Manning's of the world, that I think it adds a spice to the league.

See I don't , last thing we need are more assholes(sorry Mods).We have players hitting wives and girlfriends ,drunk drivers,DUI's ....players shooting oneself and...well etc.I think we need more of the Payton or Eli...or the golly gee wiz types so the kids of today have real sports type people they can look up to,ya want spice ....go to the street corner.Not players on TV who can't remeber the names of his kids or their 7 or 8 different mothers.

I don't think Matty and company want those type of bad guys and Rex is not one of them.

The NFL is drama really, like a man's soap opera. Just like the wwe we need some faces and some heels, that is what makes the drama.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where does being a loudmouth translate into being a thug? Rex isn't drunk driving, hitting people, or breaking the law. One does not beget the other.

I am the first guy to raise my hand and say that I don't want felons and misogynists on my team (see my uproar about the signing of LJ). But that is an entirely different issue. Rex isn't a law breaker. I don't even see Rex as a jerk, he's just a shit-talker...big deal.

The NFL is entertainment and Rex is entertaining, pure and simple. The league doesn't want ANYTHING to tarnish its image in the eyes of the viewers, which is why it has been sterilized over the years. Players and coaches are trained on toeing the company line and saying nothing controversial. When they do speak up, they are immediately shut down or suspended (see the media relations person shut down the AH interview two weeks ago when he started to mouth off). Rex bucks that trend, and IMO does it in a way that is quite fun to watch.

My point (and I think Mattyk's, but I don't want to speak for him), is that good story telling involves a protagonist and an antagonist. The NFL is full of the former, everyone wants to be the hero. I think it's fun to see someone willing to step out and be the antagonist for a while.
