Laurent Blanc has a huge job ahead of him reshaping that sorry excuse of a program in time for Euro 2012.

Nice to see Diego Forlan (formerly of Manchester United) play well. Between Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Argentina, five very tough South American squads, four of which could be in the Top 4 when all is said and done. Italy and England have been unimpressive, as has Portugal and Spain.
So fitting that Domenech would end France's World Cup debacle by refusing to shake hands with South Africa's coach after the match

Re: The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread

forlan has been a top class striker in la liga since he left man utd so its not a surprise to see him doing well, although he is being used in a deeper role for uruguay. they have been solid but once they come up against a "big" team i expect them to go out. mexico-france-south africa has proven to be a pretty weak group.

cant wait for the usa game tomorrow.

This call wasn't nearly as egregious as last week. It was very close and it's easy to make a call after the fact in slow motion. Not really mad at the ref for this call.

USA keeps coming soooo close. All they need is just one goal

Well, the rule is when the players are level, the nod goes to the attacking team. It was a goal. The refs got it wrong, and it cost us. Again.

FIFA officiating as a whole is atrocious. Game after game in this cup has been decided by bad officiating. It's not right. The head of FIFA calls replay insulting to the game. He's a fool. Get the call right.

We've been on the doorstep all morning. This is very, very frustrating.

Unbelievable! I was kind of hoping that both USA and Algeria could have advanced though; especially after what Algeria went through last fall. Don't know how many of you remember this
