Re: The Official Defense Has Major Issues/Fire Jim Haslett Thread

listen...u freaking ''fire the coach'' fans are crazy... We won 4 games last year with this same squad...(except trent & mcnabb). Remember....Shanahan wanted this defense....and we are in year 1 of our transition!!! People please calm down with the firing crap....if you want to say our run D is garbage....fine. (u are correct).....we should run the ball more...(u are correct)...but firing a coach who inherited players that don't fit a new system is beyond crazy.....this type of impulsive reaction is why our franchise has sucked the past 15+ years....we have to show patience with this new regime...again..we are 7 months removed from going 4-12.....stop reading/listening to the hype about how many games we should win and understand...u are what ur record says...right now...we are only 1-2

I think it's easy to figure out our strength on offense.

First, without Trent Williams, our offense goes to crap.

With Trent Williams, we are a PASS, PASS, PASS team.

Defensively, we are ****ed regardless because we DO NOT HAVE A NT.

Well said , we do not have the right players for the 3-4 . Hope we start running 4-3 , maybe on 1st & 2nd downs atleast .

Yea folks Haslett isn't going anywhere soon.. Bottom line is the skins just don't have enough talent to win right now, it's all because of Snyder and Vinny. We have old players that will be gone next season, our offense is better only bcuz of mcnabb and Williams.. It showed yesterday how good rent really is. DMac can't do it by himself anymore he's 33 not 26. It's hard to face the facts but we are in for another long season, 7-9 would be a good year for this team.

Let's not forget what this team really is. Whatever shades of the Joe Gibbs 2007 playoff team faded away at the midway point of 2008 after a 6-2 start. Beginning at the 2-6 slide to finish that season, and counting last season plus this year's games, the Redskins have lost 20 of the last 27 games.

That puts us in the same class as the Browns, the Lions, the Chiefs, the Raiders and the Rams of the league. And it's going to take a while to get out.

Look across the board I saw problems, I'm not sure if it was scheme or players not fitting the scheme or simply just players not doing their jobs. The players I saw giving up big plays, or not tackling;
Buchanon
Carter
Rogers
Hall

crap I could list just about everyone on defense. It just seemed like when the team quickly became 14 points down every player on defense must have felt they had to make a play and ended up over reacting and on just about every play someone different broke down.
Thats great you ideatify players in coverage as the culprits without acknowledging our D-Line (Kemo, Daniels, Carrakter, Albert, Gholston) is probably the worst in the league. See in the NFL if you have all day to throw the ball guys come open...

Yea Irish let's be honest, how many teams in the NFL are we better than talent wise? Cleveland, STL, Detroit and Buffalo. That's probably it my man

those teams are not expecting to win now. we are. the front office and the head coach want to win now and they've constructed the team to win now. you don't go out and get mcnabb if you're looking to rebuild.

Re: The Official Defense Has Major Issues/Fire Jim Haslett Thread

I just don't see why we brought in the 3-4 if all our players are 4-3 you know? You think they would have known that would have been a MAJOR set back.

Only person(s) that should be here on defense, 3-4 4-3, is Orakpo and Fletcher IMO, possibly Landry. I think everyone else for the most part is just a joke.

98 and 30 are the only 3-4 players. Maybe Moore.. Fletcher doesn't fit the scheme, he's out of place and his tackles are way down.

I'd throw Cariker in that mix along with Daniels. Both of them played good yesterday. It's just that we're stuck between a rock and a hard place with a dominant D-Lineman that's not excited about playing nose and a coaching staff that refuses to play him despite the fact that are current nose is getting manhandled. I swear we suck at that little space thats directly behind and in front of the football (read Rabach and Kemoeatu). Lorenzo should be getting a lot more reps.

Well let's see what changes are made. Shanny and Haslett deserve the heat thrown at them
