Re: Buying My First HD TV & Need Help
3D TV is a stupid fad. Frankly, I don't know who in their right mind would want to watch anything in 3D but once in a blue moon.

Like 2-D. go to Best Buy they have them set up, even the sales guy was like yeah it is kind of dumb but some people just always want the latest and greatest.

Re: Buying My First HD TV & Need Help
I think when it's time for me to purchase another TV, I'm just going to stick with a 1080p (because they have went down in price and I want to see the full benefit of blu-ray) and just look for the refresh rates.

fd did you ever get you hd hooked up yet? watching football in hd in my own house for the first time was one of the greatest days of my life. and golf is amazing in hd as well. since i got my new tv the best sporting event to watch is hockey the picture is amazing. and as far as blu ray's go the difference from 720 to 1080 might not be much on a 30 inch tv but on a 63 it's a pretty noticable difference.

Re: Buying My First HD TV & Need Help
Well I got to watch my first football game on my new TV with the HD working and VT kicked FL ST ass. This was after spending the evening fishing in the snow which was a first for me. We ate fish bites while watching the game. Nothing better then fish so fresh it flips its self.
