According to Schefter, yes.

Why do they say it like that. "All 4th, 5th, and 6th year playes." Like "alright 4th and 6th year players you guys get to be UFA's. 5th year players, sorry but the owners are opposed to odd numbers."

Their contracts would have to be expired, a player who is in the 4th year of a 5 year contract would not be an UFA.. And we don't know if there would be RFA or FT's available to the teams.

Still a lot left unsaid.

Yes all unsigned 4-6 year players would be UFAs. Any tenders would be made moot outside of any FT designation or such...unless the FT gets changed considerably. This is all speculation though at this point since there are likely details that we and/or the media don't know about yet.

Ok, I now see the unsigned players. I was thinking all players in year 4-6 would become free agents. That would have been crazy.

^ It will still be a pretty crazy large free agent class.

My opinion hasn't changed at all. He is far too confrontational. I give him no credit for the recent progress. Given the timing of everything, it would seem smith had no choice but to soften his stance. The players wanted a deal and he finally was forced to represent Thier interests and not just his own. That said, if the players like the deal that gets done, hell be re-elected.

"The revenue they’re fighting over is actually other people’s money."

This tells us something. What it tells us is that the leagues do not care about the average fan. They do not care about your condition, your preferences, your wishes, or your hardships. They care about mercilessly squeezing you, to offset their own profligacy, and they take it for granted that you will sacrifice the family vacation in order to help with the gas bills for their yachts. Eighteen NFL teams raised ticket prices, despite the lockout.
