When you sign a huge contract that averages you 16.5 mil per year(and you are a wide receiver), you can't expect much talent around you or any to be brought in. You have to choose, do you want to win, or do you want to get paid. He (and Fitz) chose to get paid.

Topping Jerry Rice in any receiving category is no small task. Calvin Johnson is certainly one of the greatest wide receivers of all time and he's nowhere near his prime yet.
