Re: Off Season Griffin Man Crush thread

Anyone who makes this a controversy is either a) petty, or b) miserable. Griffin didn't publicize it, the couple shouldn't feel compelled to give it to charity (unless they are gonna throw some of it away), and those invited to their wedding will certainly figure out something to get them.

some people just can't let others enjoy their success.

It was not meant to be. Just a general statement towards anyone who feels it's wrong for the couple to receive the gifts, or the fans to buy the gifts.

Some people just don't have a life.

Exactly.

For those who have an issue - why. do. you. care?!? How does it affect you in any way shape or form?

If you have time to be annoyed or offended by this you've got way too much time and far too few worries.

Ok, yeah, just to clarify here (or summarize my previous post) I'm not at all mad at RG3, I'm not mad at the fans, I'm just annoyed/irked/shrugged(?) that people who are not millionaires would buy someone they've never met before gifts to a wedding they aren't attending. Its the whole ''get in good with the jocks'' saying I used to hear a lot (or the whole rich get richer; poor get poorer). Its their money they can spend it to and on anyone who they please; I just think you're an idiot doing it for someone making millions more than you most likely are, and for invading someones privacy snooping around for their wedding registery; just because its on the internet and someone found it doesn't mean you have to buy them a gift.

And no, I'm not miserable, I have great life, and I'm not someone who thinks the Redskins should change their name.

from a wash po or some local article I read, the people they spoke with bought like $8 spoon holders or a chip and dip bowl as I joke to say "hey i bought black jesus a place mat!".

its kinda fun, no harm and this is coming from a guy who is always looking for a reason to bitch about something. like all the seemingly able-bodies people with handicap sticker badge things they hang from their rear-view mirror or the unreasonable price of RoFo's chicken and their refusal to give you price breaks when ordering large quantities of chicken.

Yeah. Someone told me its no different than buying his jersey, because either way I'm supporting him or making him richer; problem is that I don't buy jerseys that often, but thats a decent point.

Really aren't seeing much hate for the Redskins so I have no idea where this is coming from, most football fans think the team is making good moves.

you didnt see the story of the fans bashing RG3 for the wedding gifts. Anything having to do with RG3, there is massive hatte especially from our rivals.

I think RG3 ( and many other professional athletes) needs to cool it w/ the Twitter nonsense.
