You are so right! The Cards got beat because the Pats played harder than they did. There's no excuse for that.

If the Cards want to have a great season, they must play with more fire than they did last night.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!

Dak played a solid game for a rookie QB. He showed a lot of poise.

But he threw high a lot which is dangerous and the passing game that was called for him was limited. Although Troy Aikman complimented Dak for his arm strength, I didn't see it. Dak put too much air under his sideline throws and his deeper passes (which were few). That is going to cost him in future games.

To win with Dak, Dallas is going to have to run the ball better than they did last night.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!

I definitely overreacted to Dak's first drive. I was just hoping he came out looking like shit.

After watching a good portion of the game, he WAS Captain Check-down. Do I think he'll be terrible? Nah. He might end up being a solid starter for them, but man, his intermediate to deep accuracy was not great. If he can work it out doing those short passes, then good for them.

Elliott also surprised me. Did NOT look good. Ran hard, but seemed to lack vision.

Also, where was Dez?!

Dez - 1 catch for 8 yards. Let's hope he makes a habit of that.

That was a very impressive road win by the Pats.

Big time. BB is an all time great. Look what happens to teams like the Colts when Manning was the qb and got hurt, or if Brees or Rodgers go down. Not the Pats - they go 11-5 with Cassell. Where is he now? They go into Arizona and win with Garapolo on opening night prime time when the house was rocking.

Wonder how many picks the Pats will get when they trade Garropolo?

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!

Breaking news, RG3 broke his shoulder, put on IR by the Browns.
Wow, so glad we don't have this injury prone guy anymore.

If you are playing Fantasy Football, try to stream which ever defense is playing the Browns every week. They are a dumpster fire.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!

Thank you to Jeff Fisher and the Rams for making our blow out loss easier to deal with.

We lost to a SB contender with an elite QB and the best WR in football. Fisher and the Rams are being shutout by Blaine Gabbert and the 49ers (28-0 in the 4th quarter).

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!

Yeah, thankfully we weren't LA Rams bad. I guess it's time to give Jeff Fisher another contract extension.
