The Redskins were just 2-for-5 in red zone efficiency, while the Cowboys were 4-for-4.

How many more god damn times are we gonna see the same bullshit play out time and time again? We've been talking about the red zone problems since the FIRST Cowboys game this year. I wanted to punch the fuckin tv when I saw us lineup in the wildcat this past weekend. Really? The fuckin wildcat? That's your answer to the red Zone issue?

It's because we don't run the ball in the RZ! It's not that complicated but we are too pass happy

And I must add our 2 point conversion inefficiency which is basically a RZ score. How many did we miss versus GB? 3 or 4, missed one against Dallas.

Now is the time for the coaches who are responsible for the Red Zone problem to fix it. No excuses. Just fix it!

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread

Jordan Reed suffered a grade 3 shoulder separation and came back and scored 2 awesome TD's, including an insane one handed catch. No more doubts about his toughness, he's got his inner Kellen Winslow working.

Grade III - A complete separation of the joint. The acromioclavicular ligament, the coracoclavicular ligaments, and the capsule surrounding the joint are torn. Usually, the displacement is obvious on clinical exam. Without any ligament support, the shoulder falls under the weight of the arm and the clavicle is pushed up, causing a bump on the shoulder.

There are a total of six grades of severity of AC separations. Grades I-III are the most common. Grades IV-VI are very uncommon and are usually the result of a very high-energy injury such as one that might occur in a motor vehicle accident. Grades IV-VI are all treated surgically because of the severe disruption of all the ligamentous support for the arm and shoulder.

Look, give them a long field in that spot with the way things were going they still probably drive down and score, use up more time, and we're still down.

I did think about the time saved right away due to the short field. Lol. Still though I just wanted our D to have a chance and pin them deep. No biggie. I am over it. Going to the post season and all is well.

ESPN 980 Audio Vault - Play Now

From 21:45 to 24:05 Chris Cooley says exactly what I've been saying all week long : you want the best 11 players on the field. On defense, Cravens is definitely in the best 11... and so is Mason Foster! So they shouldn't be splitting reps!!! Cravens is a safety, we have a safety problem... Make him play Safety for andouillette's sake! Sit Whitner, have a strong tackler help against the run at ILB in Mason Foster... Just play the best 11 !

He explains it better than me but he says this shouldn't even be a discussion!

I could not agree more with you and Chris. Screw the hybrid crap; Su'a Cravens is an ideal NFL SS. Mason Foster is our best ILB. The Skins coaches should stop playing around with how to use Cravens and get both Cravens and Foster on the field at the same time.

Su'a Cravens just fine at LB, but Donte Whitner struggles - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN

If everyone watching from their couches can see this then why can't these dummies that are getting paid see it? This falls on Joe Barry and Gruden. Gruden as the HC need to just say..."F this, let him learn and master ONE position and then we'll talk about using him elsewhere." I just don't get what they're doing there.

It's really not that hard. Just split Reed out wide, move the other wr's over the the other side and let him do his thing, one on one. Sometimes I think Gruden and McVay get their jollies thinking up formations and plays, trying and get cute and think they're the smartest mother f'ers in the room. Split Reed out and everyone else get out of the way.

Cravens needs to start and play all game, he's like a Troy Palomalu type player, Foster is good too. Our Main problem though is still DL, we just can't stop the run ever.

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread

Cravens is not an ideal Safety. He's actually and Ideal Outside LB in a 4-3. We will never run a 4-3 though. Most scouts pegged him as an LB. I actually think our two best linebackers on the team for this defense are Sua Cravens and Garvin. If we could run the 4-3 it would be...

OLB Garvin
MLB Compton or Foster
OLB Cravens

Yet again, I doubt we go to a 4-3.

Biggest issue with moving Cravens to safety in Joe Barry defense is he requires his safeties to be interchangeable. So there really is no "strong safety" and "free safety
"

Cravens is a liability when it comes to using his hips and lateral movement. I actually like how he's being used right now in our 4-2-5 package. Only issue with this package is we don't have the beef on the line to stop the runs from shotgun and pistol. Compton is terribly slow as well and his speed from sideline to sideline is below average.

This defense right now is built for turnovers and for us to obtain leads, force teams to pass, and play catch up. Yet, we seem to only throw up points when we are falling behind and fail in the redzone early.

If we want to focus on this type of fast offense in the future. We need to get faster on defense too.

For anyone criticizing the first onside kick. It was a perfect play call. Terrible execution. Ball wastate 10 yards with nobody around it but Redskins. It just continued to roll another 8 after.
