I'm going with Haskins, Guice and the young wr's. I'm living with their mistakes and playing for the future, starting week 1 in Philly.
Keenum is a dead end. The sooner Haskins gets in there the better.

Re: Redskins vs Falcons PS Week 3

Is anyone comfortable with Flowers at LG and Shawn Lauvao Version 2.0(Penn) at LT?
Penn's finished the last two seasons on IR. He's probably not going to play 16 games so we are going to roll out Christian and Flowers on the left side at some point...Holy shit.

I think the Skins like Flowers at guard, he seems to fit the run first scheme they want to use.

Every team would be up the creek without a paddle if your 7 time all pro up and decides to give up on the team. Hard to see what else they could have done for that. ESPECIALLY if Trent's issue started with drafting a Tackle 2 years ago, but he didn't say anything till after this year's draft (speculation at this point) about not playing for the team again.

2) Liked what I saw from Keenum. He is productive with time (big if I realize). Quick release, accurate, and cool under pressure. Scherff got blown up on that int.
3) Haskins is off on some of his passes. He must improve accuracy/footwork before starting.
3) Oline and namely pass protection could be a problem. I expect lots of running and 3 step drops.
4) Cam Sims can play. Harmon showed something also. Doctson really may out as purported. Where has he been this preseason?
5) We may have something in Casonva McKinzy. Kid can play and is making this team and really believe will contribute. He can rush the passer and moves well for his size.
6) Landon Collins looks like Landon Collins. Thrilled to have him.
7) Too many penalties. Pretty frustrating and needs to be cleaned up asap.

I would love to see this team with a good, steady, and healthy oline. I, honestly, think Keenum will be reasonably productive and is definitely worthy of starting week 1.

HTTR!
I havent watched a lot of preseason but when I have Collins stood out the most.

Was good to see Guice in there,I would rather have him start over AP myself,I have zero confidence in Gruden handling the rb situation the right way,or at the way I would like to see it handled lol.
I bet AP will be starter,Thompson will get his 3rd down slot,and Guice might get 1 or 2 carries a game,thats how I see it,hope I'm wrong.

Haskins does look pretty poised back there but I have no hope for this season of us being any good,I would rather see the kid on the bench and hopefully learn something while Keenum is taking the pounding behind this line.Even if TW does come back I will question his desire to be here,we know he doesnt want to be here so will he be giving it his all? Who knows

Guice 1 or 2 carries per game?? Yeah that's not going to happen. He's going to get plenty of work.

Guice will start, there is no reason why he shouldn't get 15 touches a game. He will catch a few too. If he stays healthy he will be a top 10 RB in this league.

I sincerely hope Haskins doesn't get in there at any point this season.

He is so far away from being a viable starter that I desperately want Colt fully healthy so he isn't even number 2.

He's looked like a typical rookie to me. Some good, some bad. What have you seen so far that says he can't play this year?

Re: Redskins vs Falcons PS Week 3

Trouble is, he's not just a rookie, he's a rookie with very little college experience as well.

People have said that he looks poised out there but I haven't seen that. He looks hesitant, confused and out of his depth to me.

Plus, putting him in there with the current state of the left side of the OL will get him killed.

He's looked poised to me. Doesn't have any sort of deer in the headlights look or anything to indicate the stage is too big for him. He's also been more mobile and moves around in the pocket better than I thought he would. I don't see any reason to redshirt him this year.

He's not ready to lead a team to the playoffs, but Murray looks worse in AZ. They are rookies, let him learn

This argument isn't really much of an argument. Kyler Murray had one year college starting experience but no one brings this up. Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston started for 3 and 2 years and there are still questions about them. If the guy can play the guy can play. Like Matty said, having Keenum out there really does absolutely nothing as we aren't expected to compete anyway so a career journeyman isn't really gonna help his growth.

Also, the argument about Mahomes sitting isn't valid as Mahomes would have balled out with Hill, Hunt, Kelce, and Watkins regardless if he started year 1 or year 2.

He has looked anything but hesitant out there, even on his first int against the Browns he made the right read just under threw the ball and has had 3 near TDs, yes being close only works in horsehoes and hand grenades but to say he looks out of his depth is just downright false.

I don’t see Case as a dead end ... no doubt Haskins is the future(hopefully) .. did we forget about RG Iii and Cousins fiasco? We need at least 2 QB to get through season ..at times last year we had guys off the street on the online , if we do that agian Case will be invaluable to keep Haskins from getting killed or completely destroy his confidence..

- I loved Robert Davis and Troy Apke as our gunners on ST.
- What can I say about "The People's Corner"? He is a special player.
- I forbid the Redskins to cut any of these WR's: Robert Davis, Cam Simms, Kelvin Harmon, and Terry McLaurin.
- Guice is the real deal.

To Redskins decision makers:

Keep the young players and continue to build. We've got something going so don't mess it up this time.
This.
