Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
Same here. I'll say this though. If Howell is good enough for us to beat the Cowboys who will be playing for the div/1st seed, surrounded by 3rd stringer, then i really don't care about sliding down in the draft !

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
Just saw Keim's podcast and one interesting nugget I got from the podcast was that the players are excited to see Howell play, I think this is a great sign.

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
I think it's great if the players are excited to see him play, but I'm not sure what else they are going to say at this point. Nobody's going to say they would rather not see him take the field.
With the limited personnel around him, some who haven't seen the field all year just like him, he's probably going to be a mixed bag - some good and some terrible, and likely on the losing end when it's all said and done. Just give us hope for next year. 1. Show that you belong and that the game isn't too fast for you. 2. Don't get hurt. 3. Beat Dallas. Last edited by Chief X_Phackter; 01-09-2023 at 01:19 AM. |

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
Valid point.. I suppose it's just how Keim explained it, it seemed as if the players are genuinely excited about it, rather than being forced to say it.

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
My rose colored prediction- Eagles lose, Howell plays amazing, Commies win on last second miracle keeping Dallas out of 1st. Fans beat the shit out of Huddy after the game and we have a good laugh.
My realistic prediction- The team quits, Howell gets massacred, retirement of Sonny's #9 is complete embarrassment, Commies lose by 30+, Cowboys wipe their ass with Huddys face. In either case Huddy will get punked tomorrow.

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
I don't really have any confidence in Scott being able to put together a gameplan where Howell can be successful.
Howell will be back in shotgun 90% of the plays and he is going to get sacked 6 plus times. |

Cowboys Pregame thread
I want to watch just because of Howell, but maybe Ill just avoid the pain of this circus in general and wait for the sale, the burn down, and the rebuild. Eagles will probably lose, and Ill have to watch Zeke and Dak cock bang each other all over our field. Is watching Howell behind this oline with Scott fuckin Turner calling the plays while Ron sleeps standing up and awakes from time to time wondering where he is really worth that?

It isn’t irrational the guy just had three losing seasons, made hundreds of questionable decisions on and off the field with this team and throws players under the bus instead of taking the blame. Fuck him. |

It is both. Quarterbacks are two of the worst in the league and the oline is one of the worst. Toss in an awful OC and you have the perfect recipe for a shit sandwich. There is not an easy or quick fix for what has become of this offense. We have good wr’s and backs. So there is that. But we need to pretty much rebuild the entire line, might have a quarterback in Howell, and most defensive need a new OC. Im not sure that can happen by next year, but Sam balling out would certainly expedite the fix. |

Kurt Warner on Sam Howell:
I’m intrigued by Sam Howell,” Warner said. “The number of games he’s played, the success that he’s had. The ball jumps off his hand; I think he may be the most naturally gifted thrower in this class. I am very intrigued by Sam and what he brings to the table because I’ve seen it for a number of years.” When a successful NFL quarterback such as Warner speaks, it matters. The Commanders believe they have a steal in Howell, but time will tell.

I’m glad SH is starting but I’m recording the game just in case we get killed.
I don’t see how we score 20 tomorrow regardless of QB. Dallas 27 Wash 17 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If Dallas plays all their guys it's going to get ugly.

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread
That's what I'm presuming as well. A lot of our defensive starters aren't playing. We have a shit o-line and shitty OC with a rookie QB in his first start of his career versus a team fighting for a division title. Not exactly a fair shake for Howell.
I wouldn't even watch this game if Howell wasn't playing, and I doubt I watch the game in its entirety. Hopefully, Howell isn't shell shocked after he's swallowed up a handful of times. Good luck to our young QB! |

Looks like the Giants will be sitting a bunch of guys, may result in Dallas doing the same.
