Heck, Holmgren practically evented the whole flipping the late round QB pump and dump scam that Reid and now McCarthy are duplicating. Maybe scam is a bit harsh because some of the late round QBs that Holmgren developed became good NFL QBs. |

I actually think scam is a good word because they proved that it's easy to mess with people's perception of quarterbacks. I would argue that generally speaking, the public -- and even a lot of pro talent evaluators -- don't really know what they are looking for in quarterbacks, so they fall back on meaningless stuff like intangibles and quarterback wins. And those that hold the magic beans simply are in the business of finding the right buyer. I'm looking at you, Rod Graves.

Grant Paulsen @granthpaulsen
New #Rams head coach Jeff Fisher:"We have a lot of options and we're going to be prepared." Said trading Sam Bradford is NOT an option. Stings a bit...Looks like my last shred of hope for Bradford is gone.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
It has happened before where a coach says we are not trading 'so and so' and then later on, the end up trading that guy.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Disappointing fo' sho but a closed door opens another one. Meaning even though we can't have Bradford, it's almost 100% guaranteed the Rams would be willing to trade down. And even if we don't trade up with them, we can still go to the Browns at 3 if RG3 is available.

Fisher has said all along one of the main reasons for taking that job was Bradford. He's going to build around him.

Yea I hear you but I was still clinging. Maybe I just missed it but I heard that stuff mentioned by others but not actually straight from his mouth until today.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Somtimes i get the feeling that we may do a trade up for RGIII and make an offer to Manning. I know it sounds crazy but anything can happen.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
I could see us doing that if Peyton is okay having someone waiting in the wings. Rotoworld linked that previous article and said Arizona and Miami will be more aggressive than us in trying to sign Manning.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Overall, all I really ask is that no matter what our QB solution is that we don't have 1) another year of Rex 2) Give up 2-3 years worth of high picks or 3) sign Orton as our "QB of the future".
I'm OK with two firsts and MAYBE a second to move up for RGIII.
