If we don’t like it, then don’t take it and wait til the offseason. But if it’s a first round plus an additional pick, it would be foolish to turn it down. New England offered a first. Browns call every week? This offseason more players will be available in the draft and free agency at Tackle...it’s economics.

I don’t understand why you want Kerrigan past his prime playing on 11 million for a team going thru a rebuild. You could get a 3rd or 2nd in this market, you take it to continue a rebuild. The only explanation is you want to extend him...past his prime extension that will cost 10 million plus a year? It simply doesn’t make sense. He hasn’t been very good this year.
The only team that we know has offered us a first was new England months ago and i'm sorry, but no way would i take the 31/32 overall for TW at that time. I would imagine they would no longer be willing to give up their first for TW, especially when they just gave up their 2nd for Sanu.

As far as Kerrigan goes, he's not past his prime. He's IN his prime. And you cant build a winning culture without veteran leaders like him on the team. Kerrigan is another player that I think is undervalued in the rest of the league. No one would pay him top dollar. I would expect his extension to be reasonable and relatively team-friendly.

Nelson > Scherff by a significant margin. A Nelson deal might actually help establish the ceiling for Scherff as he'll know he can't expect more.

He could but that really doesn't seem like his style, bottom line is Scherff's deal is coming first

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal

If you pay Scherff 15M per, thats like 12.5% of the entire cap. Im not a fan of paying any G anything over 10M per. But under these circumstances, Id rather the Skins over pay a young really good player in Scherff.

We have so much money coming off the books with the future departures of Norman (12.5M cap savings), Kerrigan (11.75M), Trent (12.75M), Reed (8.5M) and Vernon Davis (4.9M).

^^ 50.4M that could and should be coming off the books for next yer as pre June 1 cuts.

Problem is I dont trust the Skins to spend the money wisely on quality players so Id rather throw 15M per to Scherff with good guaranteed money.

I 100% think we need to upgrade C, I think Roullier has been over valued by us and he seems to be better suited as a swing first-guy-up backup to LG-C-RG.

I want a stud C, upgrade position and allows Roullier to become real good depth.

You can't bring him back into your building. What if he pulls something, which he most likely will. Who will examine him? Just fucking trade the guy and move on. We have the least forward thinking front office in the history of the league.

Anyone ever date or marry a women that just wants to win the argument? No matter what? That is the Redskins front office.

Exactly! Instead of doing business, which should be they're endeavor, they've decided to make things personal. This is silly!

He's probably gonna feign an injury by Week 11 or 12 and end up on IR the remainder of the season. Just trade him!
