Think about if our federal gov just ran the major functions of gov. and the states did the rest. We would not have this problem in DC.

Exactly right.

From the Wiki
Quote:
In 1988, the League of Women Voters withdrew its sponsorship of the presidential debates after the George H.W. Bush and Michael Dukakis campaigns secretly agreed to a "memorandum of understanding" that would decide which candidates could participate in the debates, which individuals would be panelists (and therefore able to ask questions), and the height of the podiums. The League rejected the demands and released a statement saying that they were withdrawing support for the debates because "the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter."[8]
That's sums up what I felt about the debates even before they started.

Could U.S. military have helped during Libya attack? - CBS News

Why weren't our military assets engaged here? Aviano and Sigonella are an hours flight away.

How about answer urgent requests for military support when Americans are under fire? How about have a f-ing backbone and protect American lives before anything else?

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)

Another reason the electoral college should get ditched. The fact that ~200,000 people in Montana have the same weight as ~800,000 people in California is ridiculous.

Secondly, 3 members of the republican electoral college came out and said even if Romney won their district's they'd vote for Ron Paul? That is unacceptable to me -- if the people vote, you respect their wishes. Get rid of the electoral college already!

We can't even vote on the weekends and you want to try and get rid of the electoral college?

I don't think Republicans would be please with your innovative electoral ideas.

Not all white guys are the same...plenty of white guys [and gals] with D next to their name get the black vote.

Bottom line, you and your nominees are the wrong kind of white guys because of your ideology.
