Re: Rooting for minor injury?
i dont want anyone to substain any injury. brunell is the starter here, in my opinion, until the redskins are out of the playoff chase. only then should campbell be put in the mix

Re: Rooting for minor injury?
I don't want any injury, but honestly, I don't want him to make enough plays next week to stay the starter. He just can't get it done.

Re: Bench Brunell
AND he might actually take a chance and throw the ball into some coverage!

Re: Rooting for minor injury?
I actually think we could lose to the Texans. I don't WANT to root for an injury, but given Gibbs refusal to make a QB change, I don't really feel like there is another option. If we can't go to the SB with the old man, then put Campbell in and at least build for next year.

Re: Time to bench Brunell?
even if campbell sucks, maybe he'll be good enough next year.

Re: Rooting for minor injury?
Honestly, if Campbell went in, I don't think we'd be building at all. I really think he could win some games for us.

Re: Time to bench Brunell?
I think madden said it last night, but I'm not sure if he was speculating or if saunders/gibbs said it: madden said that JC would not go from 3rd string to 2nd and then to 1st...he'd go from 3rd string to 1st.
if that is true, then there isn't really any reason to think collins would go in if/when MB is benched...but I have to ask: why have the 2nd and 3rd string identified if the 3rd stringer is ahead of the 2nd stringer? or, why not make JC 2nd string? |

Re: Rooting for minor injury?
I have TiVo, so I really break down the plays. Did anyone else notice that we had WRs open, but Brunnell either could not or would not make the throw?

Re: Time to bench Brunell?
you seriously think you can win a superbowl with under 80 yards passing? i'd love some recent examples. and if you seriously think we've got a real shot with brunell this year to win it all, you're kidding yourself.

Re: Time to bench Brunell?
agreed. even if he's our best shot, which is questionable now, at what point should a crappy shot traded for the future?

Re: Time to bench Brunell?
You're right. And the worse part is that the one thing Brunell is supposedly good for (not making mistakes) was shot to hell last night when he floated that pass to Cololey at the 3, which Roy Williams picked off. I guess that was one of Brunell's "wise decisions."
