Re: Must-Read Article on GW and the Defense

I didn't read this article till after our great win, but it was quite interesting considering how much pressure the front 4 generated. Was it because GW just turned them loose?
Anyone remember Marty's 0-5 start? After that, he changed his ways & gave in to the players, went on a 5 game win streak & finished 8-8. Maybe GW made some conciliatory gestures to the team & changed some assignments to their liking?

Re: Must-Read Article on GW and the Defense

I watched the post game show, and they interviewed a few players and all were asked about the article. None seemed more plausible than Shawn Springs. I for one, thought it was him who leaked the mood of the locker room to the press until I heard him speak at length on the issue. He was very frank and disappointed that people actually thought it was him.

I mean, he was really loose and joking around during the entire time they were speaking to him about it. Never did he get agitated. I thought it was interesting how he said, yeah, Gregg Williams is arrongant, but so am I and that's why we get along so well.

He summed everything up by saying how he was raised by a professional football player (Ron Springs, ironically) and that is unacceptable behavior, and if for no other reason his dad taught him better.

With that being said, it had to be AA. He may not be the only one with an axe to grind, but looking at his situation and the fact the article said the player was notable...it kinda points to him.

Yeah it really seeemed like it was Springs, but based on his reactions i dont think it was him. I was listening to Triple X radio after the game, and they had a Springs quote, saying something to extent of, "hey anyone can be a T.O. in the league, but when you come out and say that, atleast put your name on it.".

Marty never really changed his ways, he just let the players have their say and that helped to break down the tension between the staff and the players. Perhaps we're seeing a similar thing happening with the current team.

Then who could it be Matty? It sounded alot like Springs to me, and to be frank, I am a bit surprised it wasnt him. Maybe AA, Wright, or Rumph?? I mean if it was one those guys, then I think they are just bitter?

Seems like AA would be a good guess to me.

Did anyone know that Christian Morton was playing for the Panthers and playing well? I just read a story that was praising him. NFL.com - Carolina Panthers Team News

I am just tossing out names, but he could be considered sort of a secondary guy. He also is a starter. His contract could be easly exited. He also was familiar with everything

Re: Must-Read Article on GW and the Defense

Of course it's AA. Who else is bitter as hell at this point? AA is not playing and his job was taken by Vincent. Plus Fox and Dourghty are playing in front of him. He's basically been embarrased by the coaches. So everything points to him.

I'm not even half way through this. Do I have to read through the rest of this fucking bullshit?

I have a friend whose family is very close with Greg Williams.

This article is garbage....
