Re: Derrick Dockery signs with the Bills
No, is the only answer to this question. But that is not to say that the Redskins get a pass here...they should have acted sooner to lock him up. He would have signed for a more reasonable number months ago. Even Dock himself was floored at what Buffalo offered him.

You didn't hear him badmouthing the organization before he left like Lavar did and I know a lot of people would take Lavar back tomorrow. I wish him the best of luck in Buffalo, he will need it. |

Re: Derrick Dockery signs with the Bills
Dead on. He would arguably have been a "traitor" to his own best interests if he passed on that kind of cash to stay in Washington.

Re: Derrick Dockery signs with the Bills
He's only a traitor if the Skins matched the Bill's offer and he still turned it down and left. I'm sure he has a family and a life outside of football that he wants to set up for the future. You can't blame him for that.
Plus, it's still a business. Players give their bodies up for teams, only to be cut when they get old and slow all the time. Would you blame the team for cutting a loyal guy if he was no longer useful? It works both ways.
