A lot of people said Mitt Romney was good last night. I didn't see that at all, I thought he was pretty dreadful actually. Too many times he just kept rambling on, to his own detriment in my opinion. McCain may have tried a little too hard to be different. I like him, but he may be facing the same problem he had back in 2008; he tends to come off as sort of rebellious. Giuliani did nothing to really hurt his standing in my opinion. I think he leans a little too heavily on the whole "I was Mayor of NYC in 9/11" bit, but that's his platform basically. Of the "second tier" candidates, I think the only one who made a dent was Mike Huckabee. I thought he presented his arguments quite well, I don't however agree with his stance on several issues. Every one else is basically running for VP. Mike Tancredo was the worst in my opinion. He and Mike Gravel should just do us all a favor and quit now.

Re: SGG's Pick the President Poll
if the democrats cant win against this field, they will never win again. but, i kind of like Guiliani. too bad to many skeletons in his closet. if i had to vote today, i would vote for Clinton. and if Obama had more experience, he would get my vote. i think Edwards problems will be his wifes health.

Re: SGG's Pick the President Poll
I'm a political junkie and I can't stomach this shit in June of the year before the election. It's way too much. Bobby Kennedy didn't announce that he was running for President until March or April of the election year (1968) - which still left him time to win the nomination and get shot. Somebody should check me on that, but I think that's right. Johnson stood down in March and Bobby came in shortly thereafter.
By the time the election gets here people will be so sick of it all. Which is unfortunate because they will start 2012 the next day. The ones who hold office now, like McCain and Baraq Hussein Obama and Mrs. Clinton are the most despicable. Go back to Washington and fix social security or go back and don't fix it. Do something, though. It seems to me that would be a better way to prove your worthiness. ( I intend to refer to Obama by his full name in an effort to annoy people).

Re: SGG's Pick the President Poll
I don't know if I'd use the word dispicable(sic) but I do think it is darn near impossible for a current Washington Politico to win. If you look back to Carter the only Washingtonites to win the Presidency have been incumbents. I think most Americans generally just don't like the guys who are in Washington already. That's a problem facing the Dems. All their candidates are pretty Washington. At least the Reps have a couple non-Washingtonites.
