It doesn't matter. If you drink enough of it you'll have intoxication.

Re: The Rant Thread
I'm pissed.
I go to school full-time and work part time and I depend on my 16 hours a week to pay my bills (I live with my parents, so I don't have many bills). Well after the labor day holiday, they cut my hours down to 12 a week. Okay... Not great but I can live off of that. Now as of next week I'm down to 6 hours a week. 6. Wtf? I might as well live off the government, at least I can bleed them for more money than some measly $50 a week after taxes. Fuck you Petsmart.

Re: The Rant Thread
Sorry to hear that DRave, Will they be picking back up for the holidays, or is this permanent? Either way, hope something comes your way soon.

Well I quit that job about a month later after I realized my 6 hours a week weren't going to get any better (for the entire month they only made me work 4 am to 10 am on a Sat., and all my coworkers hours were exactly the same). I started planning to quit after they told me hours usually pick up around April-June, f if I was gonna wait a few months on my meager salary to stay at the joint after busting ass during the holiday season. Basically I'd say your better off getting a part time job at some place where hours don't vary based on what their sales are. I'm in the restaurant equipment biz right now and even though my job ain't the safest, it's easier knowing regardless of how busy we get I'll still be working 7:30 to 4 Mon-Fri, and still have the opportunity for overtime if my boss lets me come in early.

Retail blows. God bless those that make careers out of it, I know I wouldn't be able to take it.

Re: The Rant Thread
What is your guys' take on this?
Is it ok to pull up to a busy gas station, fill up, pay at the pump, then leave your car at the pump while you go inside and shop around. Meanwhile there is plenty of parking spots available. I dunno, I just get kinda irked when I see people doing this. |
