The response I made was to the remark of Cutler and Shanahan being a match made in heaven. Certainly the QB and coach have some impact of whether the team goes to the playoffs or not. Do you disagree? I don't see how they're thought of as a match made in heaven. Based on what? His 37 INT's or their 17-20 record together?

Shanahan the GM got in the way of Shanahan the coach because he had a crappy D and was too loyal to Slowik the D-coordinator. Denver had one of the best O's in the league in 2008, but Peyton Hillis was the last "super-effective" RB they had before they began running on empty and finished 8-8. But yeah, a match made in heaven is total hyperbole.

Oh I agree with you. The defense totally sucked and Shanahans loyalty cost him his job. But yeah, the "match made in heaven" is what I found a little over the top.

I must say that this thread is full of a bunch of speculative crap....not the quality that we are all used to.
I think this Carriker crap is BS....and Carter will likely be on the team...if not, hopefully we trade him to the Browns for a starter on the Oline or something

For better or worse, there are definitely some creative imaginations at work here.

Have you got something better and more exciting to talk about. For God sakes its March. Its apparent to me that the Redskins want to trade with them, and I would bet that unless they want Clausen, they are considering these types of scenarios.

I would friggin love that, but not gonna happen in a billion years. With the browns or any other squad for that matter.

Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker

I do think we might be able to wiggle a 4th for him, but, like Ive said in previous posts, I just do not think he is worth letting go for that. I would keep him, unless its maybe the first 3 or 4 picks in the 4th round, then, I might look at it. I dunno.......

Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker

I guess Jason LaCanfora's talk about trading for Carriker on NFL Network was all nonsense? Any news about this - or has this been trashed with the other rumors?

They talked some, couldn't agree. It was pretty preliminary though. Let's see what happens at the end of April though
