Yeah, I watched last night to, just because of the interest in the Revis deal, but they did not get into the way the deal went down much at all.

I also thought that it was reported that Rex went down there with Jets management but they did not cover that at all either. From the way it was reported it seemed as though that they went down and made the deal, but in watching the show the deal was actually done over the phone.

Anyone else think that Mike Tannenbaum always seems so awkward and nervous when cutting guys? I know it's not an easy thing to do but he just seems to make it worse.

We were doing here in the office as joke, role-playing, we thought the funniest thing is they always cut the guy before he even gets to sit down. Shit if you cut me before I sit down, I am not sitting I am like see ya.

In Tannenbaum's defense, it's "Firing People 101" to get it over with first, then talk about it. The last thing you want to do is to talk about performance first, beat around the bush, then get to the conclusion last. The guy knows why he's there, so there is no sense in letting it fester and possibly turn into an argument.

Unfortunately in my job I have had to let a few people go, and it is extremely difficult to do for the manager. I would say, the actual process of firing someone is MORE difficult for the person doing the firing than the person getting fired. Now, after-the-fact of course its worse for the person who lost their job, but the actual event is very nerve wracking...you never know how people are going to react to such news. Some are professional, some aren't, and you just don't know until it happens what you're going to get.

Tannenbaum seems uncomfortable with it, but how could he not be? It's not fun for him. I do think he could be a bit more honest with the critical feedback. As ball players, these guys need to know what they have to improve to make it in the NFL, and he didn't seem to provide much of that.

On a personal level I felt really bad for Brashton Satelle...seemed that he had a spot until he got hurt. That has got to feel awful, knowing that one wrong step and one turned ankle cost you a chance to play for an NFL squad.

And this is why NFL GM's should not be firing guys. It's the head coach and the position coaches that should do it.

Yeah, I can see that...notice that Tannebaum only talked to the guys he deemed "worthy" of his personal time. The lesser dudes got cut by the assistant GM.

As I've said before I actually like Ryan after seeing this show. I thought he was a big jerk before, but after seeing some different sides of him I like him now. He's still a jerk, but I kinda like that.

I don't see where Rex is a bad sport or encourages thug behavior at all. He's simply a tough, hard nosed football coach. A bit of a throwback, but I don't think he crosses any lines.
