Because people just dont care in DC as much about the Wizards as they do the Redskins. I have Wizards season tix, I have been to hundreds more Wizards games than any other team. I don't carevabout them half as much as I do the Skins.
Wizards fans had a reason to tolerate Unseld, not Cerrato.

But my point with some of the other stuff is McKenna's just piling stuff on to show what a terrible owner Snyder is, but failing to acknowledge what became of certain situations, what corrections occurred, and failing to acknowledge that in some cases other successful teams have done the same. If I was his editor I would have said just focus on some things and drill down on them. I mean I get it, he was putting together a list and to do that he count get too detailed but a recurring theme is Snyder never learns, but in several examples he did learn. You wouldn't know it from the article though.

I don't see in the lawsuit where specifically he's calling for McKenna to be fired, though I suspect he certainly would be if he is shown to have deliberately falsely accused Snyder of some of the more egregious (felony) issues here.

I have no idea what you're talking about with the Zorn, smith thing.
Certainly he could've gone more concentrated but his A-Z thing seems to be conducive to more than less, for better or worse. There are a lot of things where he "learned" or at least "acknowledged" that a lot of the public wasn't privy to. Some of it doesn't even matter; not everyone gets the excuse of "well he learned" or "well he apologized" or similar, to me that doesn't exactly cross-out the wrongdoing. In the lawsuit I doubt that it would actually include a statement calling for the termination of his employment, I would think that that would be covered more so by the paper recognizing the liability of keeping him under employ.

The Zorn/Smith thing.. I had never heard that Snyder forced Saunders into the Gibbs regime though it did strike me as eerie that Gibbs all of a sudden said I need someone else to call plays/run the offense. But looking back at the Sherman Smith/Jim Zorn debacle I could easily believe that Saunders was definitely a Snyder/Cerrato doing.

Re: Snyder Camp Upset!!

Snyder wouldn't have pushed anything on Gibbs, he has way too much respect for him to do that.

Gibbs wanted Saunders in here because he felt he was taking on too much of a workload and he didn't want to go down that path again, plus Gibbs felt his offense was dated and needed to be "modernized".

Re: Snyder Camp Upset!!

That's what I heard at the time too. Even if it was Snyder's doing I wouldn't mind it, Saunders was the premier coordinator in the league. To me it's really a non-issue either way.

But while we're here, John Feinstein's view on the matter:

Back on topic yeah Snyder would have been wise to have just let this slide. But that's what happens when you have a giant ego, trust me I know.

Re: Snyder Camp Upset!!

Once again Snyder makes a poor choice. Not only that the little punk filed it in New York. He will lose the lawsuit...no one is scared of his money and army of lawyers.

Re: Snyder Camp Upset!!

Hey guys. I was just smoking pot to calm me down from the many lines of blow I recently snorted and I was thinking, what if Snyder is the good guy here? What if this lawsuit is the most selfless act in the history of mankind. Snyder is sacrificing his newly minted public image to help a struggling paper and help prop up the career of a well respected reporter. I mean let's face it, the Washington City Paper doesn't exactly have a huge reader base. Yet because of this article people are suddenly flocking to the paper in droves to see what all the fuss is about. This is amazing. Snyder is truly amazing.

So many Jewish sports owners in this country, not many are as despised or stupid as Snyder. I don't beleive anti-sematic is appropriate for the bellow image but then again the audience in NY might be more receptive. Plus, when did it become a crime to be anti-Semitic with images? Someone tell Snyder this ain't Germany!

Looks like they forgot to draw the fangs.

Feinstein's never had much good to say about the danny, but he backs up his work for the most part w/solid info. This is pretty harsh, he's basically saying Snyder is a bad person & always has been. This article is more personal than the City mag one - maybe danny will sue Feinstein too!
