Re: Court Cancels Mediation, Settlement Negotiations Continue
I'm predicting the new CBA is just about finalized but will take a few more weeks to get completed.

Re: Court Cancels Mediation, Settlement Negotiations Continue
An agreement in principle may be reached in a few weeks but an actual CBA (legally binding, fully completed document) will take months and likely wouldn't be finished in 2011.

Re: Court Cancels Mediation, Settlement Negotiations Continue
I just want this lockout to end so I can see who we actually go after in FA.
I say this because we're linked to Nnamdi and he seems like he'd be great on our team, but at the same time do we think that since him and DeAngelo have played together before and that didn't go well would the Skins try that again and risk having another Haynesworth FA bust? We're linked to Aubrayo Franklin, but with Anthony Bryant showing promise and us drafting Neild does that mean we want to see the young talent we have or do we want to just go for the older proven guy? Davin Joesph- He's good and is a position of need and has ties to Bruce Allen, but could ask for a ridiculous contract and is injury prone, do we just stay with the guys we have? Cullen Jenkins- He can be injury prone, and ask for a lot since he has that super bowl ring. The Skins already got Jarvis Jenkins and have Carriker who showed promise at the end of the year; do we go after a proven high risk, high reward guy and spend tons on him or stick with what we got?

Zero chance of Asomugha being a FA bust. He's a high character guy with too much pride and passion for the game to become another AH.

Not a bust anywhere else; but here..maybe we have a history of taking good or great players and making them suck, then they leave here and become good again.

Re: Court Cancels Mediation, Settlement Negotiations Continue
This probably means nothing, but I got an email last night (well, the news team did but I get copied on it) about the expected free agent situation once the lockout ends and a note to be prepared to start mobilizing on free agent news asap....I'm not saying, I'm just saying

Sign him for less money than he could get elsewhere with the idea that he has a better chance of getting a ring with them.
