Re: Cooley put on IR
I think it's clear now why he was playing fullback in the first place. He was having trouble running routes with his knee problems.

Re: Cooley put on IR
If CC should blame anyone he should blame the NFLPA as they should have negiotiated some kind of deal to allow players on rehab at the time of the lockout to keep working with their team doctor. The PA dropped the ball on this one.

Re: Cooley put on IR
A lockout kinda loses it's power once you start negotiating little loopholes along the way. In a perfect world the players would have been able to work with the team doctors, but that's just not reality. Sucks for Cooley but now he's got enough time to rehab properly and hopefully come back strong next season.

Re: Cooley put on IR
Several writers have already called Davis a top 5 TE this season. Sometimes, I think you just like to get a rise outta people haha.

Re: Cooley put on IR
The time to call Davis a bust was in 2008. Him oversleeping should have gotten him cut and replaced by an old vet. We fortunately never would have benefitted from his good performances this year. lol

Re: Cooley put on IR
the last time cooley went down, davis stayed late, worked harder and produced in his absence. Unless you're really working two TEs into your offense though, it's kind of a waste of money. NE does it pretty well, but with cooley hurt, it's hard to judge how it'd work here.
