Banks didn't play WR. Sure he was listed as one and played a few downs, but for all intent and purposes he was a return specialist.

I like that we upgraded the WRs and don't have anything against Garcon as a player but....smh about the compensation.

^^This is Garcon's most productive season, which btw isn't even as productive as Moss's 2010 season (then one where he didn't break his hand like this year) 93 catches 1,115 yards 6 tds

I would have been just as happy with Early Doucet or Harry Douglas and saved some of that 21 mil/42mil/5

Solid post 30. Garcon is a grass is greener acquisition, but we can still hope "this" is the one time (out of 10+) we're right!!

the only thing is that, according to the salary cap info here, we would barely save anything by cutting him. hes just as expensive to cut as he is to keep, so that could keep him here.

Well, that's what competition is for then. We'll see if he has another year with us or not. I'm fine with either route(keeping him or letting him go) if it makes sense.

SirClintonPortis, I was thinking the same thing. Santana Moss is a true pro and has been such a vital portion of our offense for the past 7 seasons. But unless he's going to be in a reserve role, what will be his status for the upcoming season? As a fan, I can look back to great things Moss has done for this franchise since we traded Coles for him in 2005. But it's in the best interest of this team to move forward. I like the additions to the wide receiving corps.

I agree with this. I think Moss would still be productive with the team, but I don't see him being thrilled with being a slot receiver or potentially even less. It'll suck to see him go.
