Re: Redskins vs Rams Postgame Thread
Polumbus is basically garbage. I can't even think about it or the blood pressure gets out of hand. Why on earth we didn't upgrade RT is beyond me.

There are defensive players who can block (golston). There are offensive players who can tackle (paul). Of course there are exceptions but generally Offensive players block/pick up blitzes better than defensive players just like Defensive players generally tackle better than offensive players. |

Re: Redskins vs Rams Postgame Thread
TW is fine at left tackle. In fact we get (imo) good push when we run to the left. Why mess that up? If we are just playing Madden or Fantasy, I will take Oher and put him at RT.

Robinson dropping the long bomb at the end. That would have resulted in (eventually, if not on that play) a TD and left us looking like world beaters, the entire WP forum would look different.

Your question about who to get is a good one though, I mean it seems like developing a solid RT (over the last three years) as opposed to signing a FA, was necessary, but hasn't happened.

C Griffen had a really really bad game. Would like to hear more on Gomes, cause he has looked decent. But he did mention the huge negative I saw which was his inability to get to the edge before the blocker got there on the 54 yard run. If he gets there he woulda forced Richardson back inside. Really nice blimp on Crawford at the end. Dude put him in at slot and move D Hall to the outside forcing C Griff off the field.

Re: Redskins vs Rams Postgame Thread
Team gave up a lot to draft RGIII (and nothing to sign a kicker off the street). After the Morgan penalty and knowing Cundiff's woes beyond 50yards, give RGIII a chance to get a first down while Morgan sits on the bench. I would've been more satisfied with not converting in that scenario. Shanahan has to stay on his toes and show he's a disciplinarian.
Redskins should have gone for a first down after Josh Morgan’s blunder I must be alone on this. Last edited by RGIII; 09-19-2012 at 11:56 AM. |

Re: Redskins vs Rams Postgame Thread
Definitely should have gone for the first down instead. I read somewhere that there was about a 15% chance of making that FG, while it would have been about an 18% chance of picking up the first down. Slim chances either way.

Re: Redskins vs Rams Postgame Thread
I would have preferred to go for it with Griffin. I honestly don't understand why we didn't take a shot, we still had time so we could have gone deep, or try for the first, and a quick spike.

Re: Redskins vs Rams Postgame Thread
A guy like RGIII increases your 18% changes. Heck, Banks isn't getting enough work as a returner anyway, throw a screen pass to him and let Morgan block Finnegan for him. Skins should've been the team going empty backfield with Briscoe, Moss, Robinson, Banks, Hankerson. What do I know. Just bummed out about what appears to be. I'll be over it once CIN comes to town. Hopefully that game won't do the same.
