Yeah... after I turned 27, I just couldn't go on. I've been struggling to recover from the emotional devastation for the last 23 years!

Good thing I've got another 2+ years before I turn 27, I better live it up while I can.

Man, this offseason idle chatter is brutal.

Oh yeah, I'm 27 (+40), don't worry young'uns it just keeps getting better...

Heck, I've been a Skins fan 47 years this summer. Lotta lean years and some really, really good one's. And there's more coming!

Seems like Davis is waiting (or hoping) for a team to jump in and offer him better money, which means Redskins is his last choice?

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II

Id take half the money in a one year deal rather than get a long term shit deal in Buffalo New York with someone like JP Losman or Fitzpatrick as my QB.

Plus, dont the Bills have a solid couple of TE's...............

I call BS on this one. Davis knows he wants Griffin throwing him the ball, like I said, it means more money NEXT year, AND he will be on a contender and not stuck with lake efffect snow.....................

at this point, if FDavis doesn't want to stay then let him go, I doubt he will make more of a name elsewhere, and paying big money when he's one strike away is not a smart move.

There's no evidence Davis wants to leave. Other teams showing interest in him increasing his leverage with the skins. I would be surprised if Davis doesn't come back on a 1 year deal, then well sign him to a multi year deal next offseason

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II

To be honest I think Davis just wants to be paid. He was out drinking on Saturday nights during the season, has been suspended already, he can't stay out of trouble and probably doesnt care about a legacy, he cares about money. Yes, he's our best TE and arguably best receiver besides garçon, but he seems like he just wants money, if the bills sign him to a 5 year contract with alot of it guaranteed I'm sure hell take it over a 1 year deal with us. He's been banged up and we did fine without him last season.

I would say that at this point the fact that he hasn't signed is a sign he isn't fully on board with staying. Certainly he knows the market for his services, and what the Skins can put on paper. The only mitigating info is if he and the Skins have to wait for a Jun 1st cut to free up cap space.
